Wanderer's Inn Hostel - Private Walltent

Wanderer’s Inn Backpackers Hostel rents a variety of private and dorm-style accommodations. This listing is for a private walltent that we call the 'Fire Tent' (the silk was from a 1965 BC Forest Service firefighting tent). This rental includes access to all common areas/full kitchen. (For other dorm-style options and private cabin or walltent, please see our other Air BnB listings ). We hope you enjoy our bright, cozy hostel accommodation! We have a dorm-room with 6 beds, as well as a smaller 4-bunk dorm room that can be rented as a private room by couples or for a family of 5. For the summer months, an additional 4 dorm beds are available inside a beautiful walltent. We also have a private cabin and private walltent, as well as 3 tentpads available for camping (with full access to building facilities), and we can accommodate car camping. A front deck, picnic table and firepit are available with mountain views. A BBQ is available on the back deck. The full facility is available for rent for your special events or gatherings for groups/retreats, and we also can accommodate meeting/course space. A small library, games, and musical instruments are available for guest enjoyment. Free WIFI is available (with some site restrictions). We are happy to welcome you to our hostel, to answer your questions, and to offer trip planning advice for enjoying Haines Junction and the Kluane National Park area. Located at the gateway to Kluane National Park, and World Heritage Site, Haines Junction sits near the largest non-polar icecap in the world. It's a spectacular area of mountains, wilderness, wildlife and lakes. A perfect base for all your hiking, skiing, paddling, mountaineering, road-tripping, biking, or wildlife viewing adventures! For those interested in arts and culture, Haines Junction hosts concerts, a bluegrass festival, and weekly live performances at the local bakery (summertime) Haines Junction also hosts the Kluane Chilkat International Bike Race as well as numerous other sporting events such as hockey tournaments, bonspiels, softball tournaments, etc. Please feel free to get in touch before your trip to find out what local activities are best suited to the season you plan to visit. Transportation to and from Haines Junction Shuttle operated by: Who What Where Tours (2x per week or by special order): Otherwise we recommend renting a car in Whitehorse. There is no scheduled bus service to Haines Junction. People do hitchhike along the Alaska or Haines Highways, but wait times can be long, and we urge caution.
