Breakfast on request Our Lodge (21sqm) is a very cozy, truly affordable hideaway for vacationers who wish to experience the authentic Mexico without mass tourism ! Want to chill in the hammock? Then go for it ! Relax under fabulous coconut trees - just a few steps away from the fantastic, sandy beaches of El Cuyo! Find a private shower and clean toilet. Please note our newly built lodge is attached to the Hacienda Antigua. May I emphasize that we are German owners which we hope you will benefit from ! You shouldn´t expect luxury interior, but all our apartments are very well maintained and clean, and that is what counts! There is a single-room apartment with a mosquito-protected terrace. Clean toilet / shower, cooking facilities, fridge, fresh linen + towels. Air conditioning is available (optional) Outside the lodge you will find pure nature. The white sandy beaches are "right in front of your doorstep" , and they are amazing, we promise ! - Air conditioning on request (additional cost: EUR 5 / day payable with caretakers onsite) - WIFI / WLan available since February 2016 free of charge in all apartments ! - Free parking - Laundry Service: available at housekeeping (Tipps are very welcome) ! Guests have access to a small terrace that comes with a table & lounge chairs; they also have a garden for private use. Inside the lodge there are 2 comfortable double beds, a little kitchenette, a small dining table, and one bathroom with shower and toilet. This lovely small Cabana, just a few steps from the beach, features all you need for a tranquil get-away ! Enjoy the privacy of your Mexican home with a small kitchenette and a clean bath. El Cuyo is a charming fishing village which is can be considered a hidden treasure of the Yucatan coast ! Here you can enjoy the tranquility of living by the sea: Take a walk on the beach, watch the beautiful sunsets or have a seat and read a good book. But not enough! You can also try kiteboarding, paddle boarding, kayaking or even fishing. This quiet and charming village on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula is nestled in the National Park of Ria Lagartos which is the home of sea turtles ! Every year in summer, between the months of June and August, turtles come visiting the sea shore to lay their eggs in the warm sand. With more than 250 species of birds, Río Lagartos is internationally well known for bird watching. When you arrive in El Cuyo, you will cross a lagoon that is of red color due to a high concentration of salt. 20,000 pink colored flamingos are having their home here between the months of March to September - quite impressive ! El Cuyo is a beautiful, quiet village located in the National Biosphere Preserve of Rio Lagartos on the East coast of Yucatan, about a 2.5 hour drive from the Cancun airport. On one side our village is bordered by a river which is habitat of thousands of pink flamingos, and on the other side you will find sensational white sandy beaches, absolutely breathtaking ! The Lodge is located in an area of Vacation and weekend homes of El Cuyo, 400m away from the mainsquare with its small shops, bakery, farmacy and ferry terminal to Holbox (currently under cosntruction) There are Collectivs and buses connecting El Cuyo with Tizimin and Valladolid several Times a day. Please note: - El Cuyo is not the right place if you are looking to party. This can be done much better in Cancun as there are Casinos, Shopping Malls and Night Entertainment ! - El Cuyo is more of a place to unwind and relax in an authentic Mexican atmosphere, no mass tourism ! - Transfers to the airport can be organised - Kite Surfing Schools and lessons available - Whaleshark Tours can be organised - Free WIFI in all condos/apts/houses
