Beautiful country setting with limited services, in a historic compound. The West Casita has a private bathroom with a shower and deck. In-room Keurig coffee maker w/ organic coffee & a small fridge. AC to keep you cool in the warm summer months and radiant heat in the winter. Queen size bed. N0 children. We do not have cooking facilities for guests & discourage food preparation in the Casita. We are available to answer questions about the surroundings & can offer suggestions for site seeing. Located on the historic Plaza del Cerro dating back to the mid-1700's. Terrific book to read about the old plaza is "Sabino's Map" by Don Usner. The setting is unique and very peaceful. Great location if you want to visit Taos, Bandelier National Monument and Native American Pueblos and a short pretty drive to Santa Fe. There are limited services in the country - no grocery stores, no fast food, no gas stations and only one restaurant. During the pandemic, please wear a mask when exploring the property. During the Pandemic, I am only available to answer your questions about the property and the area in general, via text, phone call or email. We are in the country and we have a strict cut-off of 10:00PM for all guests checking-in. Please print out all instructions as no one will be around to assist you late at night. We do not offer cooking facilities for our guests and being in the country 40 minutes from Santa Fe, there are limited services (no fast food, no gas stations, etc.). We require that our guests wear masks, social distance and hand sanitize. We have been lucky so far that no one has been on the property - guests or staff - who was Covid 19 positive and we want to keep it that way so guests feel comfortable staying at our facility. If you find this inhibits your stay, please cancel within 48 hours with Airbnb as to not incur any cancellation penalties. Thanks and stay safe - Jody WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU STAY ON OUR 4 ACRE HISTORIC PROPERTY, LOCATED IN THE COUNTRY, 24 MILES FROM SANTA FE: · Beautiful views, exquisite sunsets and dramatic evening skies · The occasional egret or duck in the pond · The howls of coyotes at night · Catch sight of a fox or a family of raccoons scampering across the fields · The occasional spider, fly or ant – we do not us “bug spays” or any toxic chemicals on our plants and 35 fruit trees. This is a conscious choice that our many returning guests appreciate · A walk around the 300 year old historic Plaza del Cerro, out our back door · 100% cotton linens and bath towels · Organic soap and shampoos · Organic coffee and teas · Fresh, tasty water from the community water well · Radiant hot water radiators.
