Located in the heart of the Catskills with incredible views of the mountain, the 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home boasts rustic yet modern furnishings and outdoor areas to enjoy, such as the spacious deck, 2 picnic tables + 2 grills, and a fire pit. We highly recommend staying here!” - Tracee ☆☆ BEDROOMS ☆☆ With four spacious bedrooms, you and yours will have no problem spreading out and making yourselves comfortable at the chalet. The first bedroom is located on the second level and is outfitted with a spacious king-size bed, a mini-split AC/heat pump, a dresser, and a chaise that can be function as a toddler bed if you’re traveling with young ones. There is also a pack and play available. The second bedroom, the master suite, can be found on the main level. It boasts an ensuite bathroom, a spacious closet, a mini-split AC/heat pump, a luggage rack, and splendid forest views from the window. The third bedroom is located on the ground level, and this room is great for young families as it has a comfy king-size bed, a crib (please bring your own linens), plenty of dresser space, a ceiling fan, and fantastic mountain views. The fourth bedroom is also located on the ground floor and features a queen-size bed, a ceiling fan, and a game armoire. If you’re traveling with young ones, you will find a pack and play, a high chair, a changing pad, and various toys stored in the closet. We have an additional air mattress and the couches in both living rooms are available as well. On bookings that are less than one week away we will likely not be able to provide linens for the guests sleeping on the couch and or air mattress. ☆☆ BATHROOMS ☆☆ The chalet is equipped with three full bathrooms to make it easy for your group to get ready for the day. The first bathroom is located on the second level and features a shower stall, a pedestal sink, and a skylight. The second bathroom is ensuite to the second bedroom (located on the main level), and here you’ll find a shower/tub combo with a rainfall showerhead and a spacious countertop area. The third bathroom is on the ground floor, newly constructed (Oct 2020) with a large walk-in shower and luxury fixtures. ☆☆ KITCHEN & DINING ROOM ☆☆ The kitchen is on the main level and provides you with all the tools you’ll need for whipping up delicious home-cooked meals. Some of the highlights of the kitchen include: oven, stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher coffee machine & electric kettle knife set, pots, and pans, bakeware toaster, slow cooker, food processor fondue set & waffle maker Once you’re ready to have a meal, you can head over to the bright dining area, which features an expansive and extendable table along with incredible mountain views from the glass sliding door. ☆☆ LIVING AREAS ☆☆ The sun-rich living room on the main level is a great place to relax and enjoy each other’s company. In this room, you’ll find a large, plush sectional, a flatscreen TV, and a pellet wood-burning stove. You’ll also have impeccable views of the mountains from this area, and the deck is just a sliding door away. On the ground floor is an additional living room, complete with cozy couches, a Playstation 3 with games, and access to the outdoor area. Game room (starting Feb 21) in the loft area of the second level. This room boasts some of the best views in the house from the floor to ceiling windows, along with swivel chairs and a love seat that is perfect for cozying up with a good book. ☆☆ OUTDOOR AREAS ☆☆ One of the best things about the chalet is that you can enjoy the great outdoors without ever leaving the property. Not only will you have spectacular mountain views thanks to the windows inside, but there are plenty of places to unwind outside of the home as well. Step outside the sliding doors on the main level to access the spacious, wrap-around deck. There’s plenty of seating at the two picnic tables, and the massive outdoor sectional is perfect for relaxing and breathing in the fresh mountain air. If you’re hoping to grill out, you’ll find two grills right around the corner - a gas grill and a Kamado grill (like a green egg). The ground level provides additional entertainment for your group, and underneath the deck is a shaded sitting area for both adults and kiddos. From here, you’ll find a path to the newly constructed fire pit area, complete with string lights, Adirondack chairs, and a 20-foot fire pit. When the weather cooperates, you can play a game of cornhole or bocce. If you like shooting hoops, bring a basketball along and practice your free throw with the hoop located in the backyard. While you’re enjoying the natural surroundings outside the home, you may encounter some of the areas full-time residents, including but not limited to hawks or other birds of prey, bears, coyotes, porcupines, deer, beaver, woodchucks, turkeys, raccoons, geese, ducks, frogs, and possums. ★☆ Book Today & Enjoy the Best of Prattsville With Us! ☆★ You will have private access to the entire house, including all of the outdoor areas. This excludes a few locked closets we use for storage. Guests who stay for a week or longer will also have access to the washer & dryer. The chalet is located on a private road that has a steep descent at the beginning - if there is a chance of snow you must have an all wheel drive vehicle with good tires. The road gets plowed when there is 4 inches or more. The road will usually be plowed after the storm is over, not during the storm. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip. The home is extremely family-friendly! In order to be baby-friendly, the chalet has most outlets covered (main floor), items such as a pack n play with mattress, a high chair, a Bumbo seat and crib with crib mattress (please bring your own crib linens). The outside wrap-around deck also has a gate, so your child will be safe. There are also some older kid games, such as checkers, chess, Monopoly, a PS3 and games, and cards. We also check our Airbnb message board regularly if you'd like to communicate that way as well. If you run into issues, we are available via video chat as well. Our house sits on top of a steep hill on a private road with 5 other houses. You should not be able to see or hear the other houses. Feel free to walk up and down the private road it is 0.3 of a mile long - be ready for a workout, it's quite a hill! If you are booking our home between November and April when there is a chance of snow, you absolutely need to have a 4WD or AWD vehicle with good winter tires. We consider the hill part of the experience to have the kind of privacy that we offer. Please note: Our house is likely not the right fit for you if you are unsure of your driving ability in some snow and ice, or will not be able to come in a 4WD/AWD vehicle. Additional plowing is available upon guest request for a cost of $100 per plowing and additional sanding will cost $150. You will need a car to get here. In the winter four wheel drive or all-wheel drive with good tires is a must. Do not under any circumstances leave food outside or on the grill overnight! After grilling you should always clean the grill, not only as a courtesy to the next guest grilling but more importantly to AVOID attracting BEARS.
