The prospector tent is nestled in the trees in our back 40. You and 4 other sites lliterally have 40 acres to yourself. Drive through our front gate and our picturesque farmyard to our tent site. From there you can walk the trails to the lake or back to the dock near the entrance of the property. All of our sites are 'rustic glamping'. You get a comfy bed and your own outhouse. There is no running water or electricty at the sites. Follow us on insta to learn more! This glamping tent has a comfy four poster bed a trifold single mattress. There is a a private outhouse and kitchen tent. The kitchen tent has a propane stove, two tables, four chairs, a washbasin, a potable water and a well water jug. There are two adironadak chairs and a picnic table. There is a shared outdoor shower with hot water on the side of the barn. The six glamping sites share one beach and dock. Everyone has access to the sauna via an on-site sign-up sheet. Bring your camping kitchen tote, or if you don't have one, you can rent one of ours for an additional one-time fee of $50.00. One propane bottle is included for use with the cookstove. If you would like to use the propane fireplace then an additional propane tank can be rented for $20.00 (or you can bring your own from home). We are trying to keep costs downs for people who don't need these extras rather that adding extras to make more money. :) When you arrive drive through our front gate and we will greet you at the trampoline. From there you follow us through the picturesque farmyard to your tent site. Just follow the signs. From your site you can walk or bike the trails to the lake. We are available if you need something! Please just call or text. Located in the heart of the Comox Valley. 15 minutes north of Courtenay/Comox in rural Merville. 30 minutes to Mt Washington and a 5 min drive to Williams Beach.. Campsites and area are spread out with lots of privacy. It is a great place for bikes. The secondary beds are trifold mattress of 6 inch foam. Bedding is not provided for these beds! Rules and Things to Bring!!! Bear, raccoons and ravens live on the property - food must be kept in coolers and car at night Garbage, recycling and compost must be brought to the big barn beside the shower every night Leave gates as found No smoking, wood fires and please no pets. Quiet time between 10pm and 7am. No amplified sound Bring: Camp kitchen tote, Bedding for second bed(s), Towels, Frisbee Golf Discs, Bikes, Floaties, Lifejackets, Flashlights and a sense of adventure. It is a great place for little kids to ride bikes!! Quiet time is between 10pm and 7am and there is no amplified music. If you hear a very loud late-night splash, it's just the beaver letting you know the lake is no longer yours and it's time to go to bed!
