Cottage 2 at The Farm at High Rock Lake

Charming two bedroom one bath cottage with full kitchen having stove and refrigerator sink with center island dining open to living room. Also includes screened in front porch with ramp for wheel chair access that has a seating area and a small four seat dining area with outdoor lighting and ceiling fans overlooking a garden setting. No smoking inside cottages only outside please. Our cottage is about 10-15 minutes from Downton Salisbury , about 8 to 10 minutes from North Carolina Transportation Museum which has year round events, short drive to 3 or 4 wineries., (20-30 mins.) about 30 mins to the lazy 5 ranch petting and feeding zoo and also Lion Country for both children and adults . Less than one hour from a white water rafting center innBelmont and the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. We are one hour from Charlotte with many museums , galleries and events and one hour from Greensboro and about 3hours from Asheville where Biltmore house is located ! Both Spencer and Salisbury have historical points of interest , great antique stores and shops and interesting downtowns with amazing architecture and homes. We have guest parking under a carport or around a separate circular driveway close to cottage We live on site in an 1885 circa antique colonial farmhouse surrounded by 200 year old elms, magnolia and pecan trees , lots of gardens surround our property and places to walk and jog along farmlands or woods about 10 minutes to a historic city of 30,000 residents . There is also a water park on High Rock Lake (Dan Nicholas State Park) about 15 minutes away with many activities can be looked up on computer. Farm country within close proximity to a city of 30,000 people in a historic setting about one hour north of Charlotte N.C and South of Winston Salem N.C. Main attractions include: 1) NC Transportation Museum - 4.7 miles or 8 minute drive. 2) Tamarak Marina for boat launching - 6 miles or 12 minute drive. 3) Don Nichols State Park with children's playground, walking trails, paddle boards, picnic area and mini golf - 6.8 miles or 10 minute drive. 4) Lazy 5 Ranch with animals - 24 miles or 33 minute drive. 5) Tiger World Sanctuary - 20 miles or 23 minute drive. Cars are best as most things are a 10-15 minute drive away but both Uber and Lyft and Grub Hub offer local service. To ensure the highest standards during CoVid we completely clean and sanitize the cottages after each stay. Floors are vacuumed & washed, all surfaces and appliances are cleaned & sanitized inside and out. These cleaning practices include handles, knobs and light switches in the bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms and living areas which are all cleaned and sanitized. All linens and towels are replaced after each guest. Your safety and satisfaction is a top priority to us during your stay! We have friendly hens in our hen coop that guests are welcome to visit as long as it’s from outside their coop and it’s very Country and peaceful here to relax . There is a boat launch place about 15 minutes away if you want to launch a boat at High Rock Lake ( the second largest man made lake in North Carolina )
