Charles Village is a wonderful neighborhood filled with parks, good restaurants and bars, and easy walking access to JHU and the surrounding neighborhoods (Hampden, Mt. Vernon, Station North) and less than 10 minutes by car or bus to the downtown waterfront. Lots of public buses. The Hopkins Shuttle goes from near our house on 27th and St. Paul to the train station and through downtown to Hopkins Medical Campus. The free public Charm City Circulator (Purple Line) leaves a block away and goes to the Inner Harbor and Federal Hill. Lots of Zipcar sites. Taxis are relatively cheap too.
