Modern 2-bedroom basement guest suite, completely separate with its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and heating+cooling! Full ceiling height, spacious design, and large windows for a light and airy feel that you rarely find in basements. Brand-new everything! Walls, kitchen, bathroom, flooring. We designed this apartment with guests in mind, creating the kind of living space that we thought guests would most appreciate--and that we would want ourselves if we were renting, whether 5 days or several months. Professional soundproofing, as well as separate entrance and heating+cooling, make this space super private and comfortable. Large windows provide ample natural light. A kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, convection microwave oven, and 2 cooktops make the apartment fully functional for all your food needs. There's even an in-unit washer and dryer reserved just for you. The entrance is in the back of the house--just follow the path across the front of the house and down the stairs. The lock is coded; you'll get a personalized code to use during your stay. Guests have full and private access to their separate basement apartment and no access to the upstairs living areas. Please make yourselves at home with any and all of the amenities we've supplied, including unlimited coffee + tea, and snacks. Soaps and detergents all provided--just let us know if you run out! Guests will also have shared access to the backyard, as well as TV/movie streaming channels. We are available on-site; we're just upstairs in the upper part of the house. Message us any time between the hours of 9am and 10pm with any questions or needs (and of course any time for emergencies). We will make ourselves available as needed but also won't crowd you. We will ensure your privacy and never come into the apartment without your knowledge and consent. University Park is a lovely tree-lined town, a gem inside the Beltway and right next to the University of Maryland campus. The town field and playground are walking distance from the house, and shopping+dining are just a few minutes away. There's even a wonderful new Whole Foods right across the street from the neighborhood! College Park and Hyattsville are the two neighboring towns, offering tons of dining, arts, and community events within just a few minutes drive. We are a half-mile from 2 metro stations on the Green line, and there is even a University Park town shuttle that runs mornings and afternoons to one of the stations (PG Plaza), with a stop just steps from the house. We're a 5-minute drive to the UMD campus, and a 25-minute drive to downtown DC.
