Walking distance to Winthrop Hospital and to 2 LIRR stations .Nearby shopping, fine dining and fitness centers. Common areas are shared with other guests this includes the bathroom, kitchenette and living room. To preview the apartment before committing to a long-term stay you must book for one night so we can exchange information including the address and phone numbers this is the only way we will agree to show the apartment before any upcoming stays (we don’t feel comfortable exchanging any personal information outside of Airbnb) this is a nonrefundable booking however if you decide to book it will be applied to your stay. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Room 2 is one of the two private rooms located in the Top Floor Apartment. Room 2 is outfitted full-size bed, writing desk, and a spacious closet. Entertainment package includes premium movie channels as well Commercial grade Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the apartment. Tv available in living room The host lives on site but does not reside in guests space however the common areas are shared with guest(s) from room 1 (if also booked during your stay). Any guests who have not booked with you through Airbnb are still subject to our extra guest fee ($25 per overnight stay) we ask that you confirm with the host that it is OK to have any overnight guests provide the amount of days they will be staying and cover the fee. Laundry is located in our patio apt and can be used free of charge by appointment (just let the host know when you would like to use it) we ask that guests only use the laundry when they have a full load and that they provide their own detergent and fabric softener. Common areas of the apartment are: open plan living room/dining room, bathroom, and kitchenette, and will be shared with another guest in Room 1. The apartment has a separate entrance for your privacy and security. Homeowners will not share this space with you. In addition, guests can use a washer and dryer located in the apartment on the lower floor. Please, let us know when you need it. We interact with guests as needed PLACES OF NOTE: We are less than a mile from Winthrop Hospital. Residents and rotation students would be ideally positioned to stay with us. SHOPPING : Supermarkets- The area has several supermarkets within a 5-mile radius some are in walking distance. Pea Pod grocery service will also deliver here if you do not drive FITNESS: There is an LA Fitness and Synergy Gym located within a 1-mile radius. Closer to the mall area there is a Planet Fitness as well as an I Love Kickboxing location. DINING & ENTERTAINMENT- within walking distance there is a great shopping center (The first of three shopping centers) that includes Chipotle, Panera, a Pizza Place and a fantastic burger and lobster roll restaurant that has specialty beers. There is also a Harmony drugstore in the same shopping center Across from that shopping center, there Is another larger shopping center with a grocery store, liquor store, cards and gift store, another pizza place, a Mexican restaurant, UPS store, Gamestop and a nail salon just to name a few merchants. There are an additional two shopping centers nearby that include a Staples, several restaurants and a supermarket but best to drive to those locations. We are also very close to Roosevelt Field Mall which includes a recently renovated AMC theater and the surrounding mini-malls/shopping centers and chain restaurants as well as some smaller local restaurants. there is a Walmart, a Target, BJ’s and a Costco. If there are any other businesses or locations you would like to know the proximity of to the apartment please ask via the chat feature. TRANSPORTATION: LIRR-there are two LIRR stations nearby and within walking distance. There is the Mineola station and the Merillon station. BUS- the N24 is a short walk away And then, of course, there is Uber. As stated before there are many places that are also in walking distance ACCESS CODE TO THE PROPERTY AND CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS: The day before your arrival we will send you access code to the property and simple instructions on how to check-in. During business hours (9:00 am to 9:00 pm) we can assist with check-in. Outside of business hours please refer to our instructions. They are simple to follow and will help those guests arriving late at night. PARKING: Parking- there is ample free curbside parking in front of the house. Driveway - you may use the driveway briefly to move your items into the apartment. SUPPLIES: Towels and sheets are included. Welcome basket that includes TP will only be provided once any toiletries or necessities are the responsibility of the guest after that GARBAGE: Garbage is Monday Wednesday and Thursday. Please, bring your room's garbage out to the garbage bins by the curb. RECYCLING: Recycling (which is required by New York State so we ask that you please comply) is Tuesday for cans and bottles. Thursday is paper and cardboard. Please put these items out into the recycling bin according to the day. If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know.
