Luna is a fully equipped 40 Sq. m, private bungalow, with Air Conditioning & dehumidifier unit. It has its own private porch, with private hammock, table and chairs, and is equipped with 2 Double beds, 3-Pc bathroom, 9 Cu. Ft refrigerator, 20” - 4 burner gas stove w/oven, microwave oven, and all kitchen essentials. Pressurized water system – hot water is provided on demand - you will not run out). Internet: each bungalow is equipped with its own private modem with 10 Mbps download speed. From November to April, the average temperature fluctuates between 25 and 28 degrees C (77 and 82 degrees F). Each bungalow is equipped with a dehumidifier unit, maintaining a relative humidity level in the low 50% range. Combined with the fact that each bungalow is not directly exposed to the sun, most guests consider an Air Conditioning setting of 26 degrees to be sufficiently comfortable, so that the AC is not running on an ongoing basis. On the other hand, some guests like to keep the interior temperature in the low 20's. In order to avoid using an average electrical consumption charge within the rental rate (which would have guests paying for other guests' excessive electrical consumption), each bungalow is equipped with its own electrical meter. Guests only pay for what they use. Example of electrical consumption during an 8 days stay: Ceiling fan and refrigerator operating 24 hours per day, with Air Conditioning being used for a few hours at selected times (not in operation while guests are out) Consumption: 190 Kwh Cost: $ 371 Pesos = $CAD 23 or $USD 17. Guests do not need to take keys with them - following registration, guests will be provided with two codes: one for the key box for the front street entrance and one for the key box for their private bungalow. Our bungalows have a direct connection with our central modem through ethernet cable. Each bungalow has an ethernet outlet in the interior and another outside in the porch. The use of cable minimizes loss of speed, as one experiences with WiFi. The Ethernet connection provides speeds within the range of 9 to 11+ Mbps. Each porch is also equipped with a repeater to provide amplified Wi-Fi signal. The WiFi speeds are within the range of 8 to 10 Mbps depending on your location within the property. Each guest has access to a Clothes Washer and Drier, the Guest Terrace with Palapa, Hammock, Wet Bar, Tables and chairs, and a common, colorful garden with its own bench. Iron and Ironing Board available upon request. We are located 3 minutes walk from the central park, grocery stores and restaurants - and under eight minutes walk from the beach. Outside their private bungalow, guests can access the Guest Terrace (up one flight of stairs), the garden, outside 3 pc. toilet with shower (for guests, who wish to wash sand from their body when returning from the beach), free gated parking area. Am fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, enough French to get by and some Hungarian. My goal is to ensure your stay will be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As I live within the property, I will personally greet you and make sure you get all set up in your bungalow - am available to assist you 24 hours per day. While this tiny village may seem small, there are sites to see, things to do and services to fulfill your needs and maximize each day in town. On each block in Lo de Marcos you will find at least one hidden gem and often more. Unlike many other popular villages and cities in Mexico, Lo De Marcos remains almost undiscovered and retains its genuine Mexican flavor, in its culture and every day living. You will really feel like you are in a Mexican Pueblo and not a touristy location. The locals are as friendly as people can be, they are genuine and go about their own business, without trying to put on a show for tourists. We know that part of the joy of our Pueblo is making the discovery on your own, but as your host, I will be happy to provide you with a guided tour. There are numerous grocery stores, including butcher shops, fish stores and mini-super markets – the largest is a three-minute walk from our place. As far as eating out, you have a wide choice of restaurants, and taco stands. You will definitely want to try one taco stand, about one block from the beach that makes delicious Tacos al Pastor. On the weekend, you will not want to miss the fresh Churros that are prepared at the corner of the Plaza and the main street. Then we have bars with live music, like Endless Summer, which also has karaoke, and Tomatina by the beach. There is an open mike at the Pequeño Paraíso on Monday nights at 6pm, and if you wish to have lunch or dinner and play some pool there is Bar Neptuno. It is a small village, but you will not have a boring moment – and most important you can relax as it is completely safe. * Catch the Compostela Bus at the Plaza (Stops hourly) and visit San Pancho (5 Km South) or Sayulita (15 Km) – the fares are within 30 pesos. *You can also take the Compostela bus to the airport for 60 pesos (about a 90 minutes ride) *At the highway, you can catch a bus that will take you to the Peñita, a larger town 15 Km north of LDM – they have numerous large stores and restaurants, and an open market. You can also take a “Coletivo” to the Peñita, – a van that seats about 8 people for about 30 pesos. You can also return with a coletivo or bus. *Visit a Permaculture Farm, Productos Granja el Paraiso *Visit a Moringa Farm *Visit a Turtle Rescue Camp, on the beach Sunset most nights *Ride a Wave or Tours to Coral Island Our sunsets are spectacular - take a short walk to the beach and enjoy the colorful display.
