Home backs onto wooded trail which is entrance to numerous well-regarded, mountain biking/hiking trails. 5 km from Comox lake. Explore quaint shops, numerous restaurants + coffee shops. A brewery with outdoor patio is also within walking distance. Kids enjoy 2 nearby parks, a waterpark, skateboarding park, BMX track and bike jump park. Located in Cumberland, BC, which many are stating resembles the feel of Whistler. Quaint small shops, world class hiking or mountain biking out the back gate. Located within walking distance of the Main Street (2 blocks) with numerous restaurants, coffee shops and a busy micro- brewery with patio. Non- thru street. If you have a family; Cumberland boasts 2 play parks within 2 blocks, a skateboard park and jump park at the bottom of the hill, and a water spray park in the summer. Comox Lake is also within biking distance (5 km), and has lake swimming beneath the mountains. The ocean is also easily accessible in town. In the Winter, skiing is a quick exit onto the highway and 25 minute drive up to Mount Washington. Large master bedroom with queen sized bed and wall-to-wall closets. Living room has new Lazy boy sofa bed for additional sleeping. Full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and closet-pantry. There is an additional empty room (not included in the square footage), which you are welcome to use. It is not set up as a bedroom, as there is no window and thinking it best kept this way due to fire regulations. Backyard is fenced. Trampoline with enclosure you are welcome to use! New playhouse in the corner. A large trail network available, and bike wash with hose available outside. Bike storage. Outdoor furniture with table available under the deck. Weber BBQ. Come experience this very walkable/bikeable community! Lower suite of the family home with separate entrance opened with a key provided. Large open kitchen, living room, main bedroom, and full bathroom. Living area has very comfy Lazy boy pull-out couch in case extra room is needed. Available for assistance by text or telephone/email as needed. Owner lives upstairs and is happy to help with questions, but will also respect your privacy. Quaint, small town with lots of recreational opportunities whether it be: mountain biking, BMX, skateboarding, rock climbing, hiking, or walking and exploring. Tennis courts, basketball and pickle ball courts at Village Park. Two frisbee golf courses within the village. Perhaps skiing at Mount Washington in the Winter or downhill biking in the summer? There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the village. A small grocery store exists which has most staple items but is tailored more to organic type foods. Big box stores (Superstore, Thifty’s, Quality Foods are located in Courtenay). Two blocks from the Main Street on a non-thru road. A very bikeable and walkable community. Courtenay and Comox are a 15 km drive. Highway is easily accessible for skiing at Mount Washington (or hiking, downhill biking, chairlift rides/zip-lining in the summer). City bus service 2 blocks away. If your stay is longer, and you wish washer and dryer availability please request to arrange. It is in the upper suite. There is an empty room in the downstairs suite which remains as such as there is no window to make use of it for a bedroom. (Fire regulations). However; feel free to use it as you wish if extra guests which to spread out more with their own equipment or bedding material.
