Beautifully renovated apartment in the heart of a shopping/entertainment district on the borderlines of Philadelphia. This apartment is located right in front of a major train station and bus terminal that can bring you directly to Center City or anywhere else in Philadelphia and local surroundings. Walking distance to grocery stores, dollar store, pubs, restaurants, clothing stores, Movie Theater, etc. Please see pictures and captions for more information of the general feel of the location. Please carefully read the description. I know it is a lot, but it will definitely give you an understanding of the space. ______________________________________________________________ The apartment is a modernized loft with easy access to a major transportation center that will cater to any adventurous tourist or voyaging individual on their travels. Guests will be staying in a completely private section (an apartment) on the second floor of the building. Inside the apartment, you will be getting two luxurious bedrooms with a spacious living room, open kitchen, and a bathroom. Each bedroom comes with a queen-size bed and noise resistant windows that will give you minimal noise from outside despite being in the city. Please ask the local manager for any requests (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, ketchup, etc.). Everything in their apartment. Please do not go downstairs in the back-exit way as it is dangerous. Local manager, Tony, can be contacted right across the apartment you are staying at in 2C. Any emergency, questions and requests can be directed to him. We (the Hosts) can also be contacted via the Airbnb messaging system for any questions and concerns. If you are from out of the area/state, please look into the culture of Philadelphia. You may receive a cultural shock since Philadelphia does have its own “charm.” One noticeable trait regarding the apartment’s location is that it has a lot of diversity. You can see all sorts of people with different personalities, race, people in suits to homeless people and everything in between. Additionally, just like any other part of Philadelphia, you may see graffiti and litter around. Though we do pride ourselves to be clean most of the time, sometimes there is a substantial amount of litter around. Please see pictures for more details. Lastly, we do not recommend this place to any family bringing their children down here. You may occasionally see homeless and panhandlers around the transportation center. In addition, there is a high traffic of people going in and out of the station. Residents have not had any troubles walking around at night. The place is located in front of the 69th Street train station and a busy roadway. The apartment is relatively peaceful with minimal noise from outside but you may still experience the “city noise.” We can provide earplugs upon requests. Please see photos and captions for more details. In front of the apartment is the 69th Street SEPTA train station. A major transportation facility that has trains, trolleys, taxis and buses that goes to various parts of Philadelphia and the surrounding region. One-way fare is $2.50. A train ride to center city is approximately a 15-20 minutes ride away. See photos for details. Parking: There is ample parking around; you just need to know where to park. Our suggested parking method is to park in the parking lot across the street in the day and park in front of the apartment at night. If it is the weekends, just park in the parking lot across the street all day as it is free. The parking lot across the street is free on weekends and it costs two dollars on weekdays for all day parking. There is a parking garage in the back (about a block walk away) that you can park for free (excluding during times of big events). You can also park in the neighborhood’s street, which is also about a blocks walk away. Avoid spots with parking meters as it does cost money. A detailed description of where to park will be provided at the apartment that will include a map. Parking in front of the apartment is free ONLY from 9 PM to 9 AM (parking officers are strict).
