Feel in the heart of it all here. This traditional, single-story saltbox home, has arguably the most stunning view in all of Newfoundland; full ocean frontage, tranquility, frequent whale sightings, nearby family-friendly activities, restaurants, cafe & music venues. You’ll love our spot for the ocean sounds, sunsets, beach walks and bonfires, proximity to all the National Park attractions, as well as nearby hiking trails. Our place is amazing for couples, families, & 4 season adventure seekers. Open concept, with mind altering views, guaranteed:) Thoughtfully appointed for those seeking a comfortable base camp, for an active trip. This was our first house together in Newfoundland, and 4 years into giving it our loving touches, we think we've got a gem of a spot. It's right in the heart of things, but out of all the bustle. It's quiet here, but very ALIVE. Undoubtedly, the best thing about it, is the the ever changing views, right outside the big picture windows. We've never owned a TV, since moving here, because we call the scenes from our window, "The TV of life." Why should we need more then that, right!? You'll have the entire house, with a spacious yard, and 30ft pathway to a vast expanse of beach, to explore. Walking east along the beach, brings you to the kayak and hiking company, “Gros Morne Adventures”, as well as the Pub and music venue, “The Cat Stop”- which is also the location of Bonne Tours and the passenger ferry to Woody Point. Along the way, is also Memorial University’s “Marine Station”, and the trail head beginning for Burnt Hill walking trail, sits right at the end of the beach and point. If you walk to the west, along the beach, you have opportunity’s for secluded exploration, and serene sunset gazing at the golden hour. Ever since living here, one of my favourite moments is toting a tea at sunset and walking along the beach to go sit on the great big rocks, just around the point, and taking in the sunset. It’s just you, and the ocean and gulls and terns, and quite often, whales!! We live just down the beach, and making certain we're reachable, has always been a top priority to us. We're very familiar with the Park, and love pointing our guest's directly to whatever the've come here seeking. Our quiet beach, just around the corner from the busy waterfront. Kayak tours, a pub, coffee shop, boat tours, and the passenger ferry, all just a lazy 5 minute stroll down the beach! Fantastic hiking options, minutes walk from the front door. Sunrises, sunsets, storms, whales, and more. Maybe you won't leave at all, except to go to Wayne's, General Store! We are very centrally located in Gros Morne. Which puts us at an advantageous striking distance to all points of interest. The town of Norris Point is often referred to as “The Crown Jewel” of the Town enclaves, within the Park, because of its spectacular scenery and sunsets! It's about an hrs. drive to both the northern, and southern tips of the Park. The passenger ferry to Woody Point, is just a couple minutes away, and if you would like us to put you in touch with a small shuttle/car service on the south side of the park, so that you have the advantage of taking the passenger ferry and saving on driving time, we can put you in touch a couple who run a convenient operation over there, out of Woody Point. A 5 minute walk down our beach brings you to Norris Point's "Waterfront". From here you have access to boat tours, the Passenger ferry to the south side of the park, kayak rentals, food and coffee, and awesome hiking trails!
