Our 25’ x 8.5’ tiny house is situated on a beautiful secluded piece of ocean front property in Port Hood with a secluded beach and spacious deck. There is a loft with a queen sized bed and a sofa in the main area that turns into a double bed. There is a 3 piece bathroom in the back underneath the loft as well as a second small private room with enough space to set up a pack n' play. Our tiny house offers a unique and refreshing vacation experience. It is completely off-grid, but with all of the common comforts of any home. It’s a great way to disconnect and unwind. The house is perched above a lovely stretch of secluded rocky coastline that is easily accessible from a path directly in front of the house. You could spend hours exploring the rock beach below, looking for drift wood, rocks, fossils and sea glass or stroll over to the sandy beach, located a 5 minute walk away - It boasts some of the warmest warmest water north of the Carolinas. Our tiny house is solar powered, propane heated and water is supplied by an onsite well. The kitchen is fully equipped, but because we run on solar power, there are a few kitchen appliances that we do without. For instance, we don’t have an oven or microwave. Instead, we have a built in propane cooktop. We also have a 3.8 cubic foot fridge with a small freezer that’s compatible with our solar system and is plenty big for your food and drink during your stay. There is a three piece bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. Hair dryers and straighteners cannot be used at the tiny house because they are not compatible with our solar panel system. The loft has panoramic windows so you can sit up in the queen sized-bed and look out to the ocean. The sound of waves breaking below will lull you to sleep. The loft is accessible by a wide fixed ladder. There is a couch in the common area that slides out to make a double bed. There is also a small private room in the back with the option to set up a pack and play crib. There is a propane burner and lobster pot available to use at the tiny house. You can buy fresh lobsters at the harbour to cook and enjoy. We do not allow lobsters to be cooked inside, but have a left a guide on how to prepare your authentic lobster supper at the tiny house. The tiny house is cozy and comfortable and is the perfect getaway for your vacation. The tiny house is located on a beautiful, private piece of ocean front property. There is a private rocky beach located below the house and it is easily accessible via a well maintained path. The beach is great for exploring. A beautiful sandy beach is located a 5-minute walk away and boasts some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas. The town of Port Hood is home to 5 beautiful sandy beaches. It also has many wonderful amenities including a grocery store, gas station, a take out chip wagon, a sit down restaurant/pub with live entertainment on select nights, hardware store, liquor store, and ice cream barn. There is also a lobster pound at the Warf that sells fresh lobster. The lobster pound is a 2 minute walk from the tiny house! Port hood is a great home base or starting point for exploring Cape Breton Island. There are so many things to see and do and places to explore.
