Two golf courses within 5 miles, swimming lakes, boating and fishing. Day trip to Bar Harbor, Baxter State Park including Mt. Katahdin and the terminus of the Appalachian trail. Or visit the Moosehead Lake Region and Elephant Mt. site of the B52 bomber crash site. International airport in Bangor. We are 1.2 miles Into our woods from Rt. 16 but not out of range with a 4 mile trip to town for groceries, pharmacy and restaurants. Enjoy the quiet, starry nights by the fire pit or walks along our trails, down the driveway or skipping rocks on the pond, You are welcome to walk our trails that loop around the back of the cabins, the driveway or our snowmobile connector that leads to a large beaver pond out of sight. We are our own neighborhood. There are no other houses along our 1 mile driveway nor visible from any part of our 350 acre property. Tranquility at its best here off the main road with starry skies and epic sunsets, truly a hidden gem. Many of our guests have become friends over the different seasons and return year after year for special occasions. Plus your dogs are welcome to join you on your Maine adventure.
