Covid19 pre-cleaning procedures, five days between stays, private space, extended stays as always. This spacious and historic two-bedroom has bright light, a well-stocked kitchen with dishwasher, master bedroom w/ queen bed, and second bedroom. This is all located on a quiet block near the Hudson River and many restaurants. Walk to RPI, Russell Sage, downtown businesses, and entertainment. With bedding, linens, towels, and a hair dryer and iron, just show up with your suitcase! Dog friendly. Our two-bedroom apartment is on the second floor of a historic Federalist building that we've been - patiently! - restoring apartment by apartment. With plenty of closets, it's somewhat unusual for a historic building. The crown molding and rosettes on the doorways are wonderful details preserved over the last century. The living room overlooks the backyard garden. Queen Tuft and Needle Oeko-Tex Certified mattress in large bedroom, double Serta Beautyrest mattress in small bedroom. Custom mini blinds open at top or bottom in master bedroom. Business, education, and traveling contractors welcome. We provide a desk and office chair. Kitchen supplies allow for cooking real food in your home away from home, and our proximity to restaurants makes for unlimited delicious alternatives! Yes, the kitchen includes sharp knives, grater, immersion blender, Dutch oven, wine opener, French press, etc! We can also provide child and baby items like high chair, stroller, and pack-n-play. Please request in advance as we have a limited number of items. You have access to the backyard garden, with sun, seating and seasonal flowers. The entrance is undergoing construction, with the stairwell and hallways recently painted. The flooring and stair carpeting is on its way! If you plan to bring along your four-legged companion we ask that you indicate that in your request to book! Guests have access to the front entrance, hallway and entire two-bedroom apartment. Please note the hallway of our building is undergoing renovations. Guests have a washer and dryer in the unit, with a vacuum stored in the hallway for your personal use. The backyard has a garden with outdoor seating and plenty of seasonal flowers. Mark and Sylva live next door and will be found around the buildings and neighborhood as they are -patiently- restoring the property, apartment by apartment and hall by hall. You'll see us around, and we are available for any questions and suggestions, and we're happy to direct you to great places around the neighborhood, city, and greater Capital District. We can also be found playing ukulele on our stoop, weeding the gardens, or walking our dog, Sammy. We're happy to give you plenty of space or offer you options for dinner and entertainment. We're in a quiet urban neighborhood in easy walking to much of Troy's dining and entertainment with the owners available next door, and a secure entrance. Walking distance: Farmer's markets Saturdays 9-2, a multitude of restaurants (how do you choose?!), bars, ice cream, entertainment, library, parks, and more. Parking on our block is easier than most places in Troy, and we're only a few minutes to Route 7 or 787, so you can get to all areas of the Capital District quickly. Access to public transport options include Lyft, Uber, CDTA (public bus and seasonal bike rentals both one block away), and RPI shuttle. We are 15 minutes from Amtrak (Albany-Rensselaer) and Albany International Airport (ALB). Only 10-15 minutes to Albany, 30 minutes to Schenectady, and 35 minutes to Saratoga Springs and the track. Day trips to NYC and Boston. We will help remind you to move your car on street-cleaning day, Mondays! Otherwise your car gets to stay put! A pack-n-play, high chair, baby bath, stroller, and toys are also available. Cleaning supplies like a vacuum live in the hallway and are available 24 hours a day for your use. Cleaning services are available for an additional fee and advance notice. Please note that our stays are only 30 days and up, so there is no additional "monthly" or "long-term" discount on top of our long-term-stay nightly rate.
