Our guests have been everyone from real estate developers to families in between homes to digital nomads wanting to enjoy some time in nature and not far from the ski slopes. Pemberton is a wild, rural, mountain/valley area that is teeming with life. There are bugs, horses, deer, ravens, and other wildlife. There are lakes to swim in, countless mountain biking trails, hiking spots, and horseback riding adventures. There is also a world class golf course and paragliding site, and we are 30 minutes by car to Whistler. Locals call it Pember-dise for a reason! Upon entry, you will be greeted by our mud room. Perfect for secure storage of skis, snowboards, bikes and any other outdoor-fun equipment. In the living room you will find a comfortable sofa seating 3, a long chaise near a large window to enjoy mountain and horse ranch views, and an additional plastic chair that sits near the work desk. Our Roku TV provides access to hundreds of free and paid movies and shows, along with news and weather channels. Or, log into your own Netflix / Apple TV account to view your favorites. In the dining room you will find a beautiful, farm-style table made in India out of mango wood, along with a matching bench and 4 iron chairs (seating 6 total). The Edison bulb chandelier is dimmable, giving the effect of dining by candlelight! The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals and comes with a dishwasher and counter bar with 2 stools. The 3 bedrooms in the house range from a spacious master with ensuite ½ bathroom, to a cozy room with double bed, and another cozy room with 2 twin XL’s. Mountain views from each bedroom! The full bathroom has a double vanity, heated floor, bath tub, and new (2020) washer and dryer. In the armoire you will find a clothes drying rack and laundry detergent to get you started. Amenity Highlights: - Unlimited, fiber optic WI-FI (fastest available in Pemberton and most parts of the world), with advertised download speed of 1024 Mbps. - Comfortable linens, beds and mattresses (all 4 mattresses are “plush” comfort level). - Dimmers for each ceiling light in the bedrooms, kitchen and dining room, for the comfort of your eyes. - A standing fan in each bedroom for those hot summer evenings (there is no A/C). - Well stocked kitchen with utensils, pots, pans and dining ware. - Coffee, tea, and sweetener to get you started. - Shampoo, conditioner, bath soap and laundry detergent are supplied (but will not be refilled). - 60” TV with access to Roku channels, or log in with your own Netflix / Apple TV account (there is no cable but weather, news and sports can all be accessed through various Roku channels). - Secure indoor sports equipment storage in mud room. - In-floor heating in the main bathroom (heats up very quickly once turned on!). Keypad entry makes Checking In and Checking Out hassle free! Towels and linens will not be replenished during your stay. There is a washer/dryer for your use with complimentary laundry detergent. If you would like additional housekeeping service, the professional cleaning companies in the area charge $35-$45/hour and can be arranged at direct cost. The Pemberton Valley is a location teeming with life. Although the windows and sliding door have screens and the house is professionally cleaned, it may occasionally happen that a small bug or harmless spider make their way inside. Please be warned that these are not paying guests and you have every right to escort them outside so they can be on their way. :) No pets, no events, no smoking of any kind. Quiet time is between 10pm and 7am. Please be respectful of our nice tenants who live in the suite beneath the main house. They have their own separate entrance but you may see them on the property grounds or going to/from the driveway. They are very quiet but you may hear them from time to time. Please also be mindful to walk softly as your floor is their ceiling. :)
