McKinze Brooke Cabin with a Fire Pit

This Private 440sf cabin offers a rustic and relaxing atmosphere. The cabin sits in the woods beside McKinze Brooke. There is a fire pit provided for you. McKinze Brooke cabin is centrally located for many of the Adirondack's popular activities. FAQ'S: *WHAT DO I NEED? Drinking & cooking water, food, kitchen utensils, air mattress, sleeping bag, pillows, toiletries, camping items, bug spray, fire starting materials, etc. *WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED? Bed mattresses, electricity, running water, flush toilets, shower, water heater, lifeguard, transportation, internet access (to include WiFi), etc. *WHAT IS INCLUDED? Cabin, outhouse (composting toilet), exterior fire pit, interior firewood stove, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, screened in porch, two cots, propane burner cooking stove, LED camp light (runs on 3 AA batteries), non-potable water, pots and pans (limited), cooking utensils (limited), dual dry sink, 1/2 cord of firewood (if you need more wood we sell extra, or you can bring your own- check DEC website for regulations on transporting firewood). *DO I HAVE TO CLEAN THE CABIN BEFORE I LEAVE? Please do not leave any garbage scattered around. *IS THERE HEAT IN THE CABIN? There is a small wood stove inside the cabin. *HOW FAR IS THE CABIN FROM THE ROAD? The cabin is about 250 feet off the road. *CAN I USE MY ATV (4 wheeler, snowmobile, side by side etc) ON YOUR PROPERTY? No, we do not allow this activity on our property. There are no exceptions to this rule. *CAN I HUNT/TRAP? No, no exceptions. *ARE THERE HIKING TRAILS AROUND THE CABIN/PROPERTY? No, besides going to the swimming hole, please keep the cabin within sight. *CAN I FISH IN THE BROOKE? Yes we allow fishing. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the proper licenses for this activity (see NYS DEC website). *WHY CAN’T I BOOK? We are only open seasonally from April 1st to mid October. *CAN I SHOOT MY FIREARM OR BOW ON YOUR PROPERTY? No *CAN I USE FIREWORKS AT THE CABIN? No we do not allow this. *ARE THERE BUGS AND MICE? Being a rustic cabin in the woods it is not uncommon to encounter bugs and mice. *Please read over our house rules before booking. Parking near the cabin. Vehicle is recommended as most things are not within walking distance. AWD/4WD vechicle is recommended as weather can be unpredictable. *After you are done using the fire pit, please put the fire out. Do not leave it burning if are not tending to it. *Do Not leave the wood stove (inside the cabin) door open after you get the fire going.
