TINY HOUSE ESCAPE 35 min to NYC on Hudson River
Leave the world behind! Totally separate, non-shared, super charming, slightly quirky, Tiny House escape reminiscent of sleep away camp in the artistic Rivertowns.Tastefully decorated w/eclectic art & furnishings. Sleeping loft nest & pull out sofa. Strong WiFi. E-fireplace inside. Firepit outside w/stars galore! BBQ grill, patio, yard, outdoor movie set, gardens, and backyard chickens. Delightful! A true get away! You'll need to be a “go with the flow,” non-picky about the particulars type to enjoy this ever-so-slightly rustic space. It will never pass a white glove test as nothing is or ever will be ever perfectly perfect here in the Tiny House. That's part of its stylish charm in not being a generic, sterile hotel replacement with granite countertops, fake hardwood flooring, and starched sheets. It’s a true getaway in a quaint Hudson River village just 35 minutes on Metro North from the city. The village of Hastings-on-Hudson (and all of the Rivertowns) are quaint gems! Great space for NYC escapees & appreciated by remote workers/business travelers needing to de-stress. Also business Zoomers, artists and writers to focus, focus, focus. Strong WiFi. Additionally favored by parents visiting their college kids, friend getaways and couples wanting time away from daily routines. Note: This is a quiet suburban neighborhood, not a cabin in the woods. (We wish!) Still, you may get visited by a bug or two in the summer due to having trees, grass and gardens on the property. Note: The Tiny House, while off-set on its own with small front and back patios, does share part of the grassy backyard with the main house. Note: The loft has a brand new full-sized bed with pillow topper. Super comfy! But you'll need to climb a secured 8-step ladder to access the bed. It is not for the faint of heart, but is totally comfortable and cozy once you snuggle in. The ladder, however, is not the most comfortable on bare feet. Main room: Sofa bed, two upholstered chairs, e-fireplace, antique armoire, coffee table, small dining table/2 stools. Kitchenette: Breakfast bar, small sink, toaster oven, microwave, 2 burner hot plate, Emeril line of cookware, coffee maker, and studio refrigerator. Slate back patio: Table and chairs. Backs up to a small patch of woods. Singing birds. Big moons. Bugs. Firepit. Yard. Front patio: Has two benches. Dog: Our dog is a cute little hypoallergenic non-shedding Havanese Poodle mix. He is often in the backyard and loves nothing more than making friends with guests. He will totally want to come in and jump in your lap or beg for a sleepover party. He’s a character for sure! You can always text us to send him over (or away). Just please don't feed him. Chickens: Feel free to walk around front to go say hi! Or gather fresh eggs from the coop in the morning! Their names are Oprah, Bumble, Henny, Penny, and LaLa. *Please note that third party bookings are not accepted. This means you must be the Airbnb account holder in order to book. *Photo ID required at check in/must match photo on AirBnB. *No business transactions allowed.
