Relaxing and Healing - the Perfect Spot-- Quiet dead end street, in-town location. Very popular with visitors associated with UMASS - no car required. Walk to UMASS/Amherst College, coffee shops, restaurants, playground. The renovated 1850s farmhouse is loaded with natural light, 100% renewable energy for heat, electricity and hot water, gourmet kitchen, solar panels, wifi, porches, garden and quiet spaces for contemplation, yoga/meditation and relaxation. Follow us on insta at rosehip26. The renovated farm house is light, airy and calming. The first floor small room is off of the kitchen with a queen size bed, drawers, a dresser, closet, organic cotton robes and next to a shared bath with a lovely shower and an outdoor shower, in warm months. The outdoor shower has a view of a meadow or the stars at night. This is the only bedroom on the first floor so it feels very private at night, even with shared bath. The room has its own heat/cooling control. The environmental commitment includes green cleaners, solar power, renewable energy from grid, rain water collection for landscape, recycling, composting and biking. This is an old home. And while it is fully renovated, it is dusty. We have three cats so if you are allergic to cats or older homes, this is not the place for you. It will never be as clean as a new house. It has finished and painted wooden floors. It has a country, relaxed feel - not like a hotel. There is a flow from inside to out, with flowers, seating and sacred spaces. The birds chirp early in the mornings and the energy is nourishing. A yoga and meditation room is available for use. Travelers can enjoy all we have to offer - the kitchen, refrigerator, yard, porches, garden, yoga room, outdoor shower (except when removed in winter), washer and dryer, wifi and bicycles. We have adirondack chairs in the garden, yoga mats, meditation cushions and quiet spaces for contemplation, chatting, reading and relaxation. Fair Trade coffee and a cone with filter or a french press and tea are available for use with both dairy and non dairy creamer - self serve. Meals are not included but feel free to bring your own food and use the kitchen. Cozy reading nook with gas stove. We work full-time (M-F) and am on computer and on the phone on the first floor. Our goal is for you to have a comfortable stay but since we work full-time, interaction is minimal. We want you to have your space but are here, as needed. We live on the best street in Amherst. In-town, dead-end - country, in town. Walk to town, restaurants, coffee, independent movie theater, UMASS, Amherst College, playground and have lovely neighbors. Walk to town, walk to UMASS/Amherst College, cars can park on street or in driveway. Great biking and a wonderful bike trail. Use bikes upon request! This Air BnB is run by Janet, son Grafton and Partner, Erika. Janet travels frequently. Come as you are and enjoy all Rosehip26 has to offer! In 2019, the state of massachusetts added a tax for those using Air BNB - so please understand that pricing reflects an increase in costs and a premium for renewable energy procurement. Grafton, Erika and Janet
