Welcome to River Estate, your own private riverfront sanctuary that is completely unlike any other vacation property on the north shore of Kauai. You'll feel at home as soon as you enter the property and it will last until you leave every day on your explorations. This is the natural Hawaii you have heard about and it will be your home base for the duration of your stay which you will be grateful you chose each time you return. This is the real deal not a house in a subdivision or development. The property is a block from a secluded beach which can be accessed by kayak or paddle board. There is no other north Kauai rental property that offers this experience. Take a picnic down to a beach with no public parking and thus no other people on it. When the outside areas are crowded during peak seasons you'll always be able to come home to peace and quiet and find yourself forgetting everything but where you are. Try finding that in a beach house or a house in town. River Estate is just removed enough yet very close to everything North Kauai is famous for. Before you arrive I will have already communicated with you and offered my services as your private concierge and sent you a complete welcome package filled with helpful information. My 50 years here have provided me with many experiences which I will share with you to help you make the most of your time. I will remain at your service throughout your stay. The first thing you'll notice is the stream that flows adjacent to the property to the ocean a block away and the expansive botanical gardens which inhabit the grounds. The visual richness of the sight of the stream and the sound of the water flowing by will immediately relax you and it will set the stage for your entire stay on the estate. The smell of the flowers in the air will enchant your senses and depending on the time of year you stay there might be local fruit in the garden for you to harvest. This is a true sanctuary for you to relax and enjoy when you are not out exploring what Kauai has to offer. The location of the property is centrally located on the north shore of Kauai between Hanalei Town and Ke'e Beach at the end of the road by Haena State Park which is easily accessible by bicycle which we can provide for you. All the activities and attractions on the north shore are within 3 miles of the property. East is Hanalei and west is Haena and all the beaches it is known for. You'll come home every night to peace and quiet. The Riverhouse open floor plan encourages an easy flow between the kitchen, living room and dining room. Numerous lanai sliding glass doors and louvered windows welcome cooling trade winds throughout and the split system air conditioning will cool you down when there are no trade winds. Spacious bedrooms on opposite wings provide ample privacy for groups of couples, friends or families of up to six people. The master suite has a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, dressing area, adjoining bathroom and access to it's own private lanai overlooking the river. The other two bedrooms and bathroom are at the opposite end of the house. From the second bedroom’s queen bed and private lanai, you can see the stream and lush vegetation of the gardens. The third bedroom offers a wonderful view up the valley, the fruit orchard and gardens. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans and plenty of ventilation. The large main room has an entertainment center, family gathering area and dining area. The furniture is tropical Tommy Bahama and there's an antique solid wood dining set. The entertainment center has a TV, music CD's and some DVD's. There's high speed WiFi for your internet connectivity. Each bedroom and the kitchen has a hard line telephone. An analog dial phone is supplied in case of a power outage. Cell phones may be used via WiFi. There is no cellular reception at the house via providers like ATT or Verizon but text messaging is available at the house through them. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you'll need to cook gourmet meals. On the counter you will find a folder of information on the local attractions and new Haena State Park rules, beach guide and house rules. All pots, pans and kitchenware are replaced when worn and all knives are kept sharp. Outside, borrow the boogie boards and beach toys, or treat yourself to a rinse in the open-air shower after returning from one of the world famous beaches that are close by. Inside find board games, guide books and reading material. There's lots to do inside and out. You will find top quality bedding and linens at the house. Beach towels are also provided. There are full sized washer and dryer in the laundry room. A starter kit of laundry soap, bath bars and bath tissue are supplied. When you stay at the Riverhouse you’ll find the kind of furnishings that welcome you after a long day of surfing, swimming, hiking or shopping. Though the home is maintained to exacting standards, the laid back atmosphere and casual decor will ultimately relax into you into a blissful island experience you will not soon forget. Sure a beach house in town is great way to vacation on the north shore of Kauai but if you are looking for a real old style natural experience in a location that is totally non development and private you should definitely consider staying in the Riverhouse at River Estate. The Environmental Health & Safety Department (EH&S) developed enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures to follow during the COVID-19 public health situation. 1. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection for prevention General guidance: i. Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, focusing on high-touch surfaces, such as residence hall communal rooms, restrooms, exercise rooms, library tables, buttons, handrails, tables, faucets, doorknobs, shared toys, and shared keyboards. Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting with attention to these areas helps remove bacteria and viruses, including the novel coronavirus. 2. Cleaning and disinfection of surfaces: Clean surfaces and objects that are visibly soiled first step in disinfection process. If surfaces are dirty to sight or touch, they should be cleaned using a detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection. 3. Clean and disinfect surfaces as soon as possible in areas where a person with respiratory symptoms (e.g., coughing, sneezing) was present. 4. Use an EPA-registered disinfectant for use against the novel coronavirus with products pre-approved for use against emerging enveloped viral pathogens. 5. Ensure that disinfectants are prepared (well-ventilated areas).and handled safety, wearing the appropriate PPE to avoid chemical exposures. 6. We use alcohol-based wipes or spray containing at least 70% alcohol. 7. We follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe and effective use of all cleaning and disinfection products.
