A fully equipped kitchen, designed for those who truly enjoy the art of cooking, is the focus of the living area, abundant in local art and with a unique library on Guatemalan history- from Mayan, to colonial to current. Perfect for longer stays. This house is eight blocks from the central square. Adobe, stone, rustic touches abound. The layout opens up to the central courtyard: step out from the large kitchen to dine and relax; or open the door from the main bathroom to shower by the greenery. (You can do both: privacy allows.) This property shares a street entrance with another rental. Parking is available inside. Rosita, will be your co-host. She may be around to welcome you in person. The garden entrance is shared by another rental property, Rosa and Derek's house, and an events venue. The house is set back, though, so you get almost complete privacy unless walking in or out. Sites of interest in Antigua are about a 15 minute walk away. Walking to town is your best bet. Uber does occasionally work in Antigua, although you may have a longer wait. (Program a ride for better chances.) Ati Trans is a good option for to/from the airport, the City, or the Lake. Quiet hours observed after 10pm. (The open plan means you are more likely to disturb the neighbors otherwise.)
