If there are no guests leaving that day, I might be able to help you. • High-end of the Mariscal area, also called LA ZONA, known for being the liveliest nightlife spot in town. (Step outside and take a left until Mariscal Foch street, walk down for 5 blocks). • Very life-like neighbourhood: food, drink, night-life, tourist sightings, tourist agencies, and more. • Very near to La Floresta (hip-neighborhood) - Isabel La Católica street and surroundings: lots of great restaurants - is no more than a 10 minute walk. • City Old Town (10 min bus ride). • El Ejido park is a 5 minute walk, very touristic place, lots of souvenirs and cultural imagery, especially on weekends • Casa de la Cultura (Cultural Museum, gallery events, concerts) is a 5 minute walk and you can see it from the suite! PUBLIC TRANSPORT (ECO-VIA) Two blocks down to "6 de Diciembre" Avenue • Here you can take the ECO-Vía (electrically powered bus), it crosses Quito horizontally. BUS LINE One block up is "Av. 12 de Octubre" • Take this ones to head for the terminals that get you out of the city for trips to the coast or to the mountains. CAB • You can ask me to provide you with a confident taxi cab to take to the airport. • You can ask the guard/doorman (spanish only) to call you one. • Usually within a 5 minute wait you can get one off the main street, be sure it has a license plate and cab number on the door. DON'T DRINK THE TAP WATER! Some people have done so, but I wouldn't recommend it. Don't lower the curtains all the way down since they might get unhinged! Please keep a safe amount rolled up. • This is a business, cultural, and University oriented neighborhood, very safe to walk around during the day and not-too-late at night, take precautions, taxi is cheap. • Very central and tourist friendly location • Garbage Disposal: Dial S1 on the elevator, first door on your left.
