Villanor Cottage
Experience the beautiful sunrise over the sea as you open the door of your lovely cottage and step onto your patio. Nestled in a mature garden with numerous palms, the cottage and pool provide the perfect setting to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this most beautiful island. A mere 20 minutes away by car brings you to the South coast and the many beaches, restaurants and activities that you could wish for, before returning home to your cottage to luxuriate in the pool or on your lounger. The space The cottage is located in the gardens of the main house. It is spacious and has 1 bedroom with Queen bed, bathroom, kitchen and living area. There is also an east facing patio off the bedroom with views of the sunrise. Please note that the AC in the house is disconnected so not available for use. There are lovely breezes the majority of the time and ceiling fans in every room. The cottage is also fully alarmed. Guests have full access to the pool and pool deck and have a private patio overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with dining table and chairs should they choose to dine outdoors. As we are only in Barbados for 6 months each year, we may not be physically available but will always be contactable. Our co-host, Charmaine, lives permanently on the island and will be in constant contact with guests in our absence. We love interacting with all our guests, should they wish to do so, and will always have them over to our home (on the same property) for drinks, etc. Green Point is a safe, residential area with several beautiful and deserted beaches close by, the closest being Foul Bay Beach. Other nearby beaches include Crane Beach, Bottom Bay Beach and Shark Hole. We are blessed with cool Atlantic breezes most of the time. The beautiful Crane Resort, offering a choice of restaurants, is less than 10 minutes drive from the cottage. Just north of The Crane is Cutters Bajan Deli which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and reputedly serves the best rum punches on the island. Cutters usually has music on a Sunday and is a great little hangout spot. For those seeking a more rustic setting, there is the Marco Polo Bar on the main road just before The Crane which serves local food with a European twist. For supermarkets, the local Trimart Supermarket offers basic supplies (but great bread rolls from its in-house bakery) and is 5 minutes drive from the cottage. Another 5 minutes on will take you to Emerald City Supermarket which is very well stocked with provisions, wines, etc. Rental of a car is advised and we may be able to assist with this. For those who are more energetic, a 20 minute walk will take you to the main road where buses run frequently to Bridgetown, Oistins and other destinations. No parties or events No pets
