Whitford House - East Room

Restored 1790's farmhouse with gorgeous views of Adirondack Mountains and expansive meadows. East room includes comfortable king-size bed, antique furnishings and private bathroom with shower. Library and Great Room, each with working fireplace, are both available to relax with your tea, coffee, or a book. Continental breakfast is included. Host respects privacy but appreciates good communication and tries to be available for any guest needs. Whitford House is situated on a quiet, country road, with gorgeous mountain views. Addison is a farming town with beautiful drives, cycling, walking and hiking in all directions. Nordic and Alpine skiing are both a 40-minute drive, or you may Classic ski in our many fields when conditions are cooperative. A car is needed to get around. However, we also have fantastic cycling, both dirt and pavement. We presently offer a hearty Continental breakfast, including such items as local Vermont Coffee Company organic coffee, an assortment of tea, organic steel-cut oatmeal, organic yogurt, natural, low and no-sugar cereals and/or granola, and fresh whole fruit. Please let us know prior to your stay which items would be desirable so we may be sure to have them on hand. There are also several excellent full breakfast choices in Vergennes and Middlebury.
