The exact address: Bolivar 9-74 between Benigno Malo & Padre Aguirre half a block away from Parque Calderon and the Central Cathedral, a taxi ride is around 2.5$ from the airport/bus station. Historical down-town´s tallest building where the pharmacy “Fybeca” works on the ground floor, the girls who work at the counter at the end of the store help me out with the keys, all you have to do is ask for them, they will be under your name. If you see the girls are busy please allow them to be done with whatever they are doing (part of the deal lol). Right next to Fybeca there's a big door that leads to the parking lot, enter there and walk until you see the elevator on your right-hand side, take it to your corresponding floor (ill previously let you know what floor and apartment you are at) once there you’ll find your apartment number or a big floor door, open that door and you’ll see all the apartment numbers that's it, my friend, you made it welcome home and thank you for staying with us let me know if you need anything at all cheers! ☺ btw the Internet name & password are the original ones printed underneath the router ☺ This is a family-owned building run by ourselves and we live on the last floor so if there's anything at all that you need please let us know. Your apartment is however 100% private and you have at your disposal anything you could possibly need ☺ Take a couple of days to get lost in our beautiful historical city center, once you step out of the building you`ll be surrounded by old colonial architecture and many different style churches in every corner, the most important museums (Pumapungo, Arte Moderno, Aborigenes, Remigio Crespo, Conceptas, Cañari, CIDAP, Oblatas etc), and archaeological sites & remains are minutes away. Feel free to talk to the extremely friendly Cuencanos in one of our many public plazas and markets just meters away where you can see, artisan crafts, hand-made sombreros, ponchos, exotic orchids, and plants while enjoying a beer or local schnapps. Explore the gastronomy with hundreds of huecas (places locals love) & many beautiful restaurants that are all concentrated around the central park. Enjoy a drink & nightlife in one of the many bars of Calle Larga 4 blocks away from home. Just wander around historical downtown and if lucky enough, you will most likely find a free show like the Cuenca Symphonic Orchestra playing at the Old Cathedral or folkloric parades on the main city street La Bolivar that’s exactly where we are ☺ Most of the tourist, historical places and restaurants you must go to are just around the corner on a 15 min radius max so the best way to move around is just walking, Cuenca is a calm city and you are 10-15 min away from rivers and nature so that you also enjoy a different experience. If you need to go a little further, just around the corner we have our brand new Tramway station, which crosses the city from north to south. Cabs are also an option and they are not expensive at all our local Uber is called “AzuTaxi” and you’ll never pay more than 3$. If you want to take a bus to go to nearby towns (highly recommended) like Gualaceo, Chordeleg, Ingapirca etc just enjoy the walk from here to the main bus terminal 15 minutes. If you arrive after 5 pm or on the weekend there is a chance I could pick you up at one of these places at no cost, prior arrangement ☺ Parking: we have our own parking lot inside the building If you are staying for more than 2 nights or during the week, it is 10$ per night :) or weekends for $ 12.50 per night, you are given a remote control for the door so that you can access and leave without restrictions 24/7. There are some options around but they cost around 14.00 $ per night and closed from 22:00 to 08:00 day costs more but we are a single payment. Please do confirm if parking will be needed in order to leave the controller with the keys ☺ Elevator: Please do have some considerations when using the elevator: 1) The elevator max capacity is 3 people or 1 person with luggage. 2) When calling the elevator from outside, please do not pull the door until the cabin has come to a complete stop. 3) When using the elevator, please do not push the door until the cabin has come to a complete stop. Thanks :) Garbage: If you are ready to take the garbage out go downstairs on your right hand side once you leave the elevator you’ll get to the parking lot, once there immediately to your right you’ll find the building’s big green garbage cans please tie up your bag properly ☺
