Light, airy apt (#7) with roof terrace & view

These brand new apartments in historic Heredia center are light and airy, built on the second floor of a colonial style building designed to let in plenty of natural light and provide a safe, convenient and convivial experience for our guests. We are also a quick taxi or uber ride to the airport, only 6 miles away. You will love our brand new apartments with a view of the mountains from the terrace shared between apartments. The terrace is open-air and can be used for socializing, yoga, or just enjoying the beautiful Heredia weather and reading a book! The apartments themselves are fully furnished and very comfortable, with free wifi, two double beds and a nice, quiet ambience from which to explore Heredia. We are only two blocks from the olympic-sized swimming pool with a nice grassy area, should you wish to relax by the water during your stay here. You can also take yoga, Latin dance and zumba at our school across the road with our adult students of Spanish, English and portuguese, and thereby get to know people from the local community if you wish to see more than the traditional tourist sites :) The terrace and laundry room are open for you to use anytime. The laundry room has washing machines, a drier and clothes lines, and during office hours you are welcome to visit the classroom areas below and across the street. Wifi is free in both buildings. We are available 6 days a week with our staff, at reception, who is always willing to help out and offer good advice for things to do in and around Heredia. We can also book tours for you, and as our guests you will have a 20% discount on group Spanish classes should you wish to study the language while here. Heredia is a historic town, home to one of the three oldest remaining colonial churches in Costa Rica, and to the historic plaza, mini-fort, cultural center and patrimonial heritage buildings surrounding the park. We recommend spending an afternoon by the fountain practicing your Spanish, eating a "casado" (the typical dish here with a little of everything on it), and maybe going out for a beer and a "boca" (small snack), served at any of the local watering holes. Trilogy, 7th street café and El Cholo are all nice, relaxed places to go with an all-ages crowd. For great, healthy, fusion-style food, try Café Kawah or Casa Azul by the university. For vegan food, try Vishnu or the Loving Hut. Enjoy strolling around the grounds of the National University, and check out the theater or the cinema at the mall Las Flores. Don´t miss the fun and informative Café Britt coffee tour, a short taxi/uber from Heredia center, covering Costa Rican history and the process of coffee farming. In addition to the wealth of activities available in historic Heredia, our location gives guests easy access to San Jose’s museums, theatres and night life (30 mins by train/ $1), the airport (20mins by Uber / $8 approx) Uber, taxis, public buses and the train! All are easily available, the train will take you to San José ni 30 minutes, and drop you off at the beautiful national park, a short walk from historic Barrio Amon or Barrio Escalante, the foodie capital of San José and home to many historic buildings in one of the prettiest walking neighbourhoods of the capital.
