The apartments are peacefully nestled between the luxury boutique Sandpiper Hotel to the north and the Discovery Bay Hotel to the south. Whether it's swimming in the warm Caribbean sea, relaxing in the tropical gardens, dining at one of the renowned nearby restaurants or a spot of shopping, nothing is more than a short walk away. If you just want to do your own thing, the apartment has a well-equipped kitchen and there are plenty of shops nearby ranging from simple but delicious street food stalls to the luxury Limegrove shopping centre. If you do want to venture further afield, there's a bus stop within a minute's walk (the fare is a fixed BDS $3.75 for all journeys). There is also on-site parking if you prefer to explore with your own car. Other nearby facilities include tennis, world-class golf and, of course, water sports. The apartment is on the ground floor and has a well-equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, cafetiere, modern crockery, cookware and utensils. There's a separate bedroom with comfortable beds that can be used as two singles or a large double. There's also an en-suite with a large fully-tiled shower, sink and WC. The patio has comfortable furniture making it a relaxing place to enjoy the sounds and sights of the tropical gardens. Large fans in the bedroom and all around the apartment keep you cool and all internal doors and windows are fitted with mosquito screens. There's fast free WIFI access and there are UK and US style electricity sockets . All bedding and towels (including beach towels) are provided and there's a daily maid service (6 days/wk). COVID-19 PROTOCOLS at Art Studio Condominium Art Studio Condominium has as our #1 priority the health and safety of all our guests and staff. You will be reassured to hear that we have implemented the Tourist Accommodation COVID-19 protocols developed by the Barbados Ministry of Health and Wellness to mitigate the health risks presented by COVID-19, which include guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting for COVID-19. We hope you are looking forward to your forthcoming stay in Barbados. However, we understand you may have some concerns regarding COVID-19. We felt it important that we inform you of the steps we are taking to help reduce the risk of infection and to reassure you that it is our absolute priority to ensure the safety and good health of all our guests and staff during this time. Please carefully read the travel protocols that the Government of Barbados has established for the safe entry of tourists into the country (see links below). It will give you a clear idea of the simple process for screening new arrivals for COVID-19 infection. They have been instructed to ventilate the apartment while cleaning and to wear masks, aprons, and gloves to avoid any contamination. They will clean and disinfect high contact areas including door handles, remote controls, light switches, etc. You will not be allowed to remain in the apartment while it is being cleaned. You may notice that some non-essential items have been removed from the apartment, including bedspreads and decorative bed cushions as these items cannot be laundered each week. Our apartment is also our holiday home, so it contains ornaments, books, toys, and games. As it is not possible to guarantee that all these items will be disinfected, if you wish to handle any of these items please wash your hands thoroughly afterwards or leave them for 72 hours before touching them. Throughout your stay, we request that you follow the advice of the Government of Barbados and wash your hands regularly. We also recommend that you bring hand sanitiser with you, which can be bought airside at the airport. You will also see that we have provided hand sanitiser under the front canopy and sanitising wipes by the communal telephone so it can be cleaned after use. We have also introduced yellow painted markings in the communal areas to remind everyone about safe distancing guidelines. We would advise against bringing visitors to Art Studio during your stay. However, if you do, we will require you to provide their contact details. A small notepad or A4 sheet of paper with the heading ‘Visitor Details’ will be available in each apartment for you to record your contact details and the details of anyone who visits you at Art Studio should any future contact tracing be required. We also recommend that if you have any concerns over cleanliness, in addition to hand sanitiser, please bring your own anti-bacterial cleaning products with you. [For those guests arriving the same day as a previous guest is leaving] To ensure there is additional time for the housekeeper or maid to carry out the enhanced cleaning programme for your arrival, you may not be able to check in before 5pm. However, Art Studio staff will endeavour to have your apartment available as soon as possible, please be patient. It is important to note that Art Studio Apartments cannot accept liability should you or one of your fellow guests develop COVID-19 despite all the precautions we have taken. During your stay, should you develop symptoms or show signs of COVID-19 and suspect that you may be carrying the virus, the Government of Barbados has advised that you stay in isolation. This can be done at Art Studio, staying in your apartment. Because your health is a priority to us, a member of staff will contact the Department for Health and Wellness for further advice and action. Please be aware that you will be responsible for the costs of any additional professional cleaning that may be required in the apartment should you develop COVID-19. If a member of our staff tests positive for COVID-19 or exhibits symptoms, and you have come into contact with that individual, then we will inform you of this. Processes will be in place regarding self-isolation and quarantine. Finally, we are actively monitoring the advice given by the Barbados government so we can prepare for any outcome should the situation change.
