Casa Bella combines the comfort of western living with the ease of Caribbean indoor/outdoor style. Float your cares away in a large, private, saltwater pool surrounded by stunning gardens visited by toucans, sloths, howler monkeys, and jewel-colored birds and butterflies. Gather in the newly-renovated living room/dining room, or swing on your hammock on the balcony. Relax in your private mini-resort in the village of Playa Chiquita, an easy 10 minutes walk to the prettiest beach on the Caribe. With high-speed Fiber Optic Internet. Casa Bella has a large interior living room/dining room and a well-designed kitchen, perfect for preparing family meals or relaxing after a day at the beach. There are two large, well-lit bedrooms with queen-sized beds, and two bathrooms for up to four guests. Up the external spiral staircase from the deck is a breezy loft where you can lounge on a hammock and admire the jungle canopy. The large 12 meter by 7 meter salt-water pool in front of the house has a covered deck beside it where you can lounge in the shade and grill up a delicious meal on the 36 inch Bull BBQ. With parking for up to 4 cars and laundry service available, Casa Bella is an ideal place to spend a family holiday, or an intimate getaway in your private mini-resort. Guests have full access to Casa Bella, Casita Sol, the pool and pool deck with BBQ. There is also secure on-site parking for up to 4 cars. Hosts Erinn and Darren are available to greet guests at check-in, and live across the street. They are available for questions and concierge service upon request. Erinn visits the pool once daily to maintain and ensure the water is crystal clear and sparkling. Otherwise the guests have this delux mini-resort to themselves! Playa Chiquita is a small village 5 km south of Puerto Viejo de Limon. We are famous for having the most beautiful and serene beach on the coast. You can stroll down the coast in either direction all the way to Puerto Viejo, Manzanillo, and beyond through unpoplated stretches of beach. El Duende Gourmet, the grocer 5 minutes walk from Casa Bella, is fully stocked with dry goods, dairy, meat, fresh produce, cold beer and a good selection of wine and liquor. Check out the fresh baked goods by the entrance. Bread, croissants, pan au chocolate, donuts, pita, strudels, pizzas, and empanandas delivered fresh daily! There are 8+ restaurants in Playa Chiquita. Our favorites are Gypsea Cafe and Lounge, Pura Gula, and the two woodfire pizza restaurants! A little further down the coast toward Puerto is Spicy Coconut, a new favorite with excellent fusion food, great location on the beach, and fantastic service. There are two bike rental shops, and on Saturdays and Wednesdays there is a fresh produce market, as well as a couple of pop up produce stands where local farmers sell their wares. There are many options for getting around in the Caribe. Many of our guests rent bicycles and pedal the coast from beach to beach, beach bar to beach bar. It's easy to rent a car here, too, if you decide you want to explore further. We usually take taxis or tuk tuks if we don't feel like pedaling. There is a local bus that runs from Manzanillo to Limon. The schedule is posted outside the grocer, and the stop to head into town is just across the street. You can also rent electric bikes, motorcycles, and ATV's for more adventure options! The grocery store is open 7AM to 7PM, 7 days a week, but if you are arriving late and want breakfast food in the house, we can do an initial shop for you. We always include a welcome basket of coffee/milk/sugar, and some goodies for your group. A starting set up of dish soap, toilet paper, drinking water, and garbage bags are in place. Let us know if you have any special requests!
