Charming Retreat Overlooking The Hudson
This sweet Victorian, just one hour from NYC, has been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated. It is situated on a private acre of cultivated gardens and lawn overlooking the Hudson River. Every room has beautiful light and positive energy. It's a warm, creative place that will inspire the artist in you! Guests should be aware there is a cat that comes and goes. She spends a lot of time outdoors and is very independent. The house has many charming details, walls of books, original artworks, and cosy nooks for reading, writing, and daydreaming. Out back there's a pond loaded with fish, frogs and water lilies. You'll have access to the entire house and garden. I like to greet my guests if possible observing social distancing of course. However, if timing does not permit me to do so, I'll give instructions on self check-in. The house is just down the road from two state parks, Bear Mountain and Harriman, with an abundance of spectacular hiking trails. It is perfectly located as a home base for exploring the many attractions of the entire Hudson Valley. Metro North out of Grand Central to Garrison Train Station, which is a 20 min. drive to the house. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I have continued to offer my place, but do so only in the safest and most responsible way. There is an enhanced cleaning protocol in place as well as vacant time between guests.
