In the primary rainforest (7.5 ha) we have built some housing with a producing farm. In the immediate vicinity of your accommodation you can watch monkeys, birds, sloths, butterflies, frogs, etc. or swim in the nearby Pacific Ocean (200 m). Take advantage of our kitchen or relax in our lounge, here you can go on vacation! Restaurants, supermarkets and bars can be found in the immediate vicinity in the city center (50 m). We are happy to help with the booking of all kind of excursions. The cabin has a wooden floor and is otherwise, as well as the fittings, made of cane by hand. The roof has a transparent part for giving sufficient light, its height and tall trees provides a fresh and airy climate. A fan gives additional ventilation. The accommodation also has a mosquito net and mattress protector. It has a covered outdoor area with a bench, table and hammock, also a private garden. All our rooms, huts, supply rooms and passages are equipped with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and emergency lights for power outages. You can make free use of the bathhouse with toilets, warm water showers, and a covered drying area and our well-equipped kitchen, of course. Consumables such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt, oil, milk powder, etc. are also available free of charge. We are happy to wash clothes for a small fee. In our large, tropical garden you can watch day and night animals. I am at the hotel from 2-3pm, however some days I am available since later in the afternoon. The employees take care of the cleanliness and operate in the garden. They live next to the kitchen and are available for urgent matters and questions. Our immediate neighborhood is the primary rainforest. Drake Bay is the starting point for all tours to Corcovado National Park or Biosphere Reserve Caño Island. Hiking, snorkeling and diving are the attractions or activities here. You can rent a kayak or make an organized tour to a waterfall or a horse brings you there. You can fly through the canopy or walk by yourself to a beautiful beach, in Drake Bay are countless things to do. The nearest restaurant (open at 05:00 a.m.) is directly opposite. There are also supermarkets, bars, an ice cream shop and other restaurants. We have NO BANK OR ATM, please bring cash with you, it is not everywhere possible to pay with credit card. You can arrive by plane, car, bus (only to a limited extent) or by boat. The airlines Sansa, Aerobell and Skyway offer almost every day one or more flights to Drake Bay, Progresso. The collective taxi will bring you directly to MOHAGINE in Drake Bay, Agujitas. The journey by car is only possible for experienced drivers, when the weather conditions allow it. You have to pass through various rivers. Most tourists rent a car already in Germany, there are countless car rentals with different offers. Parking is free of charge at MOHAGINE. From San Jose you can also take the bus to Puerto Jimenez, in Rincon de Osa change to a minibus which will take you to Drake Bay. Most arrive by boat, the rental car is in a secure parking in Sierpe. Take the bus TRACOPA to Palmar Norte, to Sierpe there are still 16 km, which you can reach either by bus or taxi. The trip is done by speedboat across the Rio Sierpe through the mangroves which is the biggest mangrove forest in Central America and the last part of Amazonia. If there is a calm sea the captain will drop you directly in front of our private house. From here it is only 200 m and you are in paradise. No matter what type of arrival you choose, it is in any case already your first adventure!
