(Follow government directives on travel to and from Guatemala.) Take in the jungle sounds from tree-top level in this charming newly constructed cabana designed to catch the cooling breezes of the steamy tropics. Sip a cup of fresh Guatemalan cocoa or coffee on your private balcony. Use of kayaks to explore the neighboring bayous or swim from the dock. And after a day exploring the area relax under the jungle canopy on the patio and cook up something on the BBQ. Home away from home. You'll enjoy this well equipped unique house convenient to all the amenities the area offers. Road access is through a secure gated community. Boat access is at our private dock. In walking distance are shops, restaurants and launcha trips up and down the river. This is a whole house which comfortably sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. An extra child could be accommodated on the bench seat in the living room. But this is really a house for not more than 4 people. Access via boat to a private dock or car through a secure gated community. If arriving by bus, we can pick you up from the bus station in Fronteras. Be sure to let us know your arrival plans We are available to our guests at all times and live on the premises for much of the year. We live on the water but also have land access. Whether you come in your own vehicle or by bus, it is a short distance off the main highway to our property. The lagoon offers safe swimming fishing and there are some interesting creeks nearby to explore by kayak. The town of El Relleno (where we are located) is on the South (quiet) side of the bridge. This is where all the major marinas and boat yards are located as well as some great restaurants. A launcha (boat) is the primary means of transport here. Small local buses from town will take you to the Hot Springs or the Castillo San Felipe. Tuc Tucs are like taxis and will take you into town or back. We can help you find the best way for where you want to go. Pet Fee: $12.00/day. We will accomodate smaller dogs only. A hose is located under the house to wash muddy paws and your dog (note: pets are not allowed in the Bath House or house shower). Pets are not allowed on furniture. The property is partially jungle, not fenced and on the water; we cannot be responsible for your pet's safety. Owners should stay with their pets at all times, pick up after them, keep them on a leash and always be respectful of other guests. Dock Fee: $12/day You can bring your own boat and park it at out dock if a slip is available. Arrangements must be made at the time of booking.
