The area (el barrio Aguacatal) is a 20-25 minute walk or 5-7 minutes by car from the downtown of Baños. It's very lovely place. Baños de Agua Santa is a town in Ecuador known for its wonderful landscapes and several adventure possibilities and as a place to seek inner peace and relaxation. Its name, translated as “Baths of Sacred Water”, came from the several hot springs. It is located in a valley at the base of the currently active, Tungurahua Volcano and around 3,5 hours by bus from Quito and 4,5 hours from Misahualli where you can do a quick jungle tour. The town is known as the adventure capital of Ecuador, because it is the perfect place to practice outdoor activities such as: Kayaking, Rafting, Canyoning, Rock Climbing, Trekking, Biking, Bungee Jumping, and so much more. One of the most popular hot spring is “Termas de la Virgen” located in the city center, it is yellow colored with a water temperature ranging from 35 ºC to 52 ºC. The average of temperatures is 18ºC all year round. Here you will find some of the most important activities to do in your next visit to Baños. Hot springs El Salado with a natural sparkling pool is 1 mile from the house, Termas de la Virgen is 1.6 miles.
