The pin on the map is CLOSE to the campground. **You will get the exact directions when you book**Price is $23 per person per night. *NO CHILDREN UNDER 18. Composting/outhouse toilet next to this site. It has no odor. There are public restrooms/coin showers (8 quarters) conveniently located 1.5 miles away at the back of Big Bend Resorts motel. The Cottonwood store a few miles south near the park has a good selection of groceries, camping supplies and water fill station for 10 cents a gallon with your own jug. There's 15 acres to explore. Do not take my plants or rocks! Camp and hike on the property at your own risk. **Bring your own camping supplies to be self sufficient and firewood. **Collecting wood on the property is not allowed! The store at Study-Butte a mile away sells firewood (if not sold out) as well as The Cottonwood Grocery store a few miles away. Stop at the Walmart in Fort Stockton on your way down to get firewood, or find some in Alpine on your way here. Secure your tent and gear at night and when you leave! You can not rely on the forecast to predict the winds that can come up in the desert out of Never leave your gear, or chairs around the fire pit when you leave or go to bed. I expect campers to respect my property and leave as good or better than you found it. *Please practice Leave No Trace, Tread Lightly, pack it in pack it out principals. If you don't know what that means, look it up before you arrive. The desert and my property are pristine, please do your part to keep it that way. Thank you in advance! ** Do not have campfires in windy conditions over 10mph.. Only have fires in the provided firepit or your gas stove. Put out your fire completely before bed and before leaving. *Do not burn plastic or break glass in the firepit! Keep an eye on the forecast and realize that rain to the north can cause the dry creeks on my property to flash flood and you may not be able to leave till it recedes, which is usually pretty quick, but depends on conditions. The rainy season is during the summer months, usually July through September when not many people are camping anyway. ALWAYS stay aware of the forecast. Weather is part of camping! Your assigned campsite. Please do not enter another guest's campsite unless invited. I live on the property and am available via phone, text or email. I may stop by to meet you. The view of the Chisos mountains is about the best around. Front and center is Emory Peak, the highest point in the national park at 7800 ft. To the left of that is Casa Grande and to the right is the South Rim. Good hiking at Indian Head trail is a mile from my place and has amazing views, interesting rock formations, native American pictographs, etc. Trail is easy and suitable for hiking and mountain bikes. no public transportation available Access to the campground is a mile and a half of mild to moderate bumpy dirt roads. A sedan can make it as long as you are comfortable with the off pavement conditions. **I can not guarantee what your experience with the road conditions will be.
