Jungle Tree House Drive to Beach

Built as a tree house, Casa Papaturro is located in the Buena Vista neighborhood, near Playa Samara, and Carillo Beach. Our new ground floor addition allows you to experience jungle life with howler monkeys. tropical fruit and flowers in luxury. Modern luxuries include high speed internet/ wifi. Speed is 20M/s, so you can stream, and connect via zoom video calls. Walk down the new covered hall between the casita and the main house and take advantage of our brand new American washer/ dryer! The lush foothills overlooking Samara are a few degrees cooler than the beach, which is especially welcome. Expect to see caballeros herding Brahmas down the road, and horses loose on the village green in Samara. The beaches are plentiful and never crowded except Easter week which is a big holiday. The town has gas, groceries and a pharmacy, plus places to rent cars, ATVs, mopeds, bikes and water toys. Try zip lining, deep sea fishing or snorkeling. Have lunch at abeach side restaurant. It's all here in this small town. Drive the back dirt road into town or the paved road to Samara. There are many trails with wonderful vistas! The house is gated. You will need to meet with our property manager for keys and other tips and necessities. We spend most of the year in the US, but Mike, our property manager (speaks English, French and Spanish) will meet you and take care of any questions you might have. Buena Vista is a well established neighborhood -- old Buena Vista is just across the seasonal river -- a short walk or drive. The neighborhood is full of expats and hosts a small airport, horseback riding, guided ATV tours, a grocery called Green Iguana and Buena Vista beach, popular with locals and tourists alike. Public transportation is big in Costa Rica -- it is possible to take the bus or rent space on a shuttle from the airport. The nearest full service airport is Liberia, much closer than San Jose. Rental cars are just a few hundred dollars a week -- we recommend Alamo as they also have a storefront in Samara. Rental ATVs are street legal as long as you wear required safety equipment and bicycles and motor scooters are also available. Consider taking a taxi to pick up groceries. We have a gardener, pool guy, and cleaning lady who all have keys and come and go according to their schedules. They will not disturb you.
