2 bedroom house, St George’s, Grenada
We designed our house for dancing, singing, painting, writing, and napping in our shaded hammock. This house is new and boasts stainless steel appliances and a six burner gas stove. We also have toys - under 10 girls. You'll find a lot of cooking essentials in the fridge and cupboards to get you going on your first (or next!) Caribbean meal. If you're a return visitor to Grenada, we also have a table for six for your family :) This is a brand new house, built in 2016 and is designed by the owner, featuring LED lighting, drop ceilings, and other features locally sourced, but not regularly found in Grenada. It features ceramic tile throughout, and a host of other features, like yoga gear, art supplies, a printer, and kids toys so you don't have carry it all with you. Guests have access to the entire top floor of the house and grounds. Parking, wifi, printer and everything found in the house is at your disposal. Chris lives on the property and is available to you should you require help or assistance with anything. He can cook a meal for your arrival if requested, can show you around or leave you to your privacy as desired. The neighbourhood is quiet, with no through traffic. It located between the historic capital of Grenada, St. George's town, and the tourist hotspot Grand Anse. The Morne Jaloux Ridge is also one of the most scenic communities in Grenada, frequented by sight seeing tours taking in the vistas and the historical forts located nearby. For bird lovers, in addition to our resident “Mr Rooster” who showed up one day and stayed, we also have a flock of parrots that fly by the house at dawn and dusk every day, occasionally you can sight the critically endangered Hooksbill Kite flying overhead. The ‘Salmon’ tree located in front of the house is unique as a habitat for Grenada's fireflies, which light up the night in the rainy season. The tree also goes to "sleep" at dawn and dusk - we won’t tell you what it does, let’s see if you notice! We also have a fruit bearing French cashew tree that is a favourite roost for hummingbirds. If you get lucky you might see a possum. There are no dangerous spiders, snakes or other wildlife in Grenada. A bite from something (apart from rabies) might hurt, but won’t kill you. A car rental is strongly recommended. We drive on the left side of the road. If you are from north america and are not comfortable renting, a driver can be arranged through us. The house is located down a hill so a car rental is recommended. This secluded location ensures you can enjoy a quiet and safe residential experience among local professionals in the area. Our house is particularly suited to international consultants, ex-pats, and returning visitors as well as families looking for a child friendly place to enjoy Grenada. The house has already inspired a series of children's books, a music album, and other creative projects. Some people however, just want to sit on the porch and hang out with the birds - and that's ok too :)
