Beautiful home in San Agustin Etla

Casa Xano Xano is a beautiful home tucked into a hidden corner of the village of San Agustin, Etla. Surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden, it is a perfect home to come back to after a day of exploring beautiful Oaxaca or just hanging out reading on one of the three private terraces. Casa Xano Xano is located half an hour from the colonial center of Oaxaca in the beautiful village of San Agustin Etla, in the foothills of the Sierra Norte mountains. The house is high on a hill overlooking the village, valley & the mountains in the distance. Our home has two completely separate apartments. The guest apartment has two bedrooms with queen size beds, each with French doors opening on to a fountain courtyard. There is a large fully equipped eat in kitchen with a full water purification system & a beautiful view of the pool. The comfortable living room has a flat screen TV with cable & opens on to a private terrace with sweeping views of mountains. WiFi internet is available throughout the apartment. There is a large pool house with outdoor living room/dining room with BBQ & exceptional views over the mountains, perfect for cocktails & sunsets. It's most convenient to have a car, however we are only a 3 minute walk from the colectivos (communal taxis)which will take you in to Oaxaca, 30 minutes away for 16 pesos. Basic shopping is available in the village as well as local comedors(small restaurants) Not far away is Etla which has a wonderful daily market, really worth a visit on Wednesdays. San Agustin is home to Centro de las Artes de San Agustin, known as CASA an art center with revolving exhibits & classes in a beautiful historical building. Next door is a wonderful paper factory selling a variety of paper products. They will also gladly walk you through the process. There are miles of incredible trails through the hills behind the house which give spectacular 360 degree views. We ask for a 5 day minimum stay. Unfortunately we are not a house for small children. There is weekly maid service with more days available & laundry service for an additional fee. We can arrange for you to be picked up at the airport for 450 pesos or from town for 250 pesos. San Agustin is an authentic Mexican village. Birthdays are celebrated with fireworks, funerals are accompanied by bands & roosters & dogs(we have two) celebrate it all.
