Salem/Beverly-Winter/spring retreat, summah fun!
This is a perfect place for a family to visit. In town for holidays, college events or visits, or just a winter get away? Explore the north shore, Salem, Boston and more. This 2nd floor, 3BR apartment is roomy, clean, comfy and unfussy. Walk to the train, beaches and vibrant downtown. Cook a great meal or walk to restaurants. Check out the local arts scene with museums, music and plenty to do. Take a drive along the coast and enjoy the off season. You have options! Off street parking too. This place is a second floor 3 BR apartment on a quiet side street just off of downtown. It offers plenty of room for family to visit and folks to have their own space. Walking distance to train, great restaurants and a busy downtown with a lot to do. Located just about a mile from Salem and all that it offers. Fully furnished with off street parking for two cars, coin op. washer and dryer in basement, hardwood floors, dishwasher AC, cable and wifi. Beverly is a fun foodie town with a lot of interesting restaurants, coffee shops, etc. from Italian to Indian, Thai and more all within a walk of the apartment. The train depot is just a five minute walk down the street- go to Boston or Salem or travel north to Gloucester, Rockport or Newburyport. We can clue you into some great spots off the beaten path. Whatever your interest, you will find something here, art, architecture, boats, beaches, history and more. (did I mention food?) There is a movie theater and concert hall, beaches, a beautiful public library, great parks and playgound and museum all within a ten minute walk so there is something for the whole family. And plenty of room to stash a bicycle. We are always willing to offer suggestions and tips to help you have a wonderful stay. I'm very proud of my reviews! One thing we try not to do though is get in your way. You're here for a vacation, not to make a new best friend. We try to respect your vibe! I hope you will consider staying here. Thanks! The entire apartment, outside table and chairs and a coin op washer and dryer in the basement. Off street parking too. I respect peoples privacy. We have made friends with some guests and others prefer to be left alone. I am always available if there is a problem but don't want to get in the way. Check in time is very easy and at your own pace. Location, location, location. Walk everywhere, access to public T, Close to the water. There is a rich and interesting food scene downtown. Beaches and parks, A movie theater, concert hall, live music, yoga studios, awesome library, museum, galleries, coffee shops, independent bookstore, natural food store, vegan restaurant, high end restaurants and more all within a walk from the apartment. And Salem with all that offers is just about a mile down the street. Commuter rail is just down the hill. Shuttle bus stops at the end of the street. Car rental agency just a few steps from the train. The place includes off street parking as well. Beverly is a diverse and interesting town, you can enjoy visiting Salem without the hubub. People are surprised because they don't know the town but it makes a great vacation spot. There is plenty to do- museums and galleries, pottery, yoga studios, gyms, bike rentals, movie theater, concert hall, great beaches and a wide variety of food- from funky breakfast/lunch places to all kinds of ethnic foods- and it's all within waking distance. It doesn't have the touristy stuff that you find in Salem but is close enough so you can enjoy Salem but get away from the hubbub.. The commuter rail is just a five minute walk down the hill - Boston or points north! In my guest book people always tell me how much they like the town. We have a lot of great suggestions for things to do all over the North Shore. And if you have any special needs or requests I so my best to take care of them. Known for years as the Gold Coast, this area from Cape Ann to Boston boasts glorious coast line, architecture, art- from galleries to world class museums, whale watching, schooner trips, booze cruises and some of the best food ever! The beaches are outstanding - from what we call the pocket beach on the harbor (just down the street) to Gloucester's fabulous Wingarsheek ( we can tell you a back way to get there with outstanding vistas) And there is something fun at every time of year!
