Mountain view room at Kicking Horse Resort Golden

All guests must be fully vaccinated for covid. Breakfast is included. Vagabond Lodge is located across the road from the gondola at Kicking Horse Resort Golden BC in the middle an adventure playground. In the winter, skiing, snowboarding at Kicking Hose Resort is unparalled. In the summer the hiking in Yoho National Park, Glacier National Park(Canadian version) is a short drive away. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. All our rooms are located on the top floor of our building which we built ourselves. There is no elevator. If you have problems with stairs, this is not the place for you. Rooms do not have tvs' or phones. We have a large guest area with wood burning fireplace, large bar area where guests can stock the bar and help themselves as we do not have a liquor licence. This area is where you will meet fellow travellers from around the world. Friends are made here. The lower level features a pool table, sauna and outdoor hot tub. The rooms are all tastefully decorated with natural colours and large windows with great views of the mountains. Some rooms also have balconies. Guests have access to the lodge common area on the main floor which features a wood burning fireplace, overstuffed furniture, and bar area(stock the bar and help yourself). On the bottom floor, there is a pool table storage area for bikes and skis/boots. There is absolutely no access to cooking facilities of any sort including microwave. We are around for the most part except when hiking, skiing and enjoying our amazing playground. Vagabond Lodge is located in a adventure playground with skiing, (nordic and downhill), snowboarding and snow shoeing in the winter in our back yard in the winter. And in the summer there are some of the best hikes in the Rockies within easy reach(30 minutes) in both Yoho and Glacier National Parks. Banff is 1 and a half hours, Lake Louise is 1 hour and Jasper about 3 hours. There is a nice restaurant next door as well as a pub a few seconds walk away which also serves some pretty good pub food. The town of Golden which is a great little working-class town(logging and railway) is just 10 minutes away. Golden has a lot of culture with live music almost overnight somewhere or another and some great restaurants and pubs. The town is full of young people who are here to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Golden is blessed with a great hospital and other services for the community. Sorry no public transpiration in our area. There is no television available in guest room.
