A space to get "isolated" and enjoy nature! Although the guest room is directly above our house, guests can be isolated, with separate entrance, private bathroom, kitchen in the room and Wi-Fi. During quarantine, we will not be able to share the common areas of the house, but it is still it is possible to stroll everywhere on the site, rest by the lake and enjoy nature. We are a small family (English / Brazilian) living on a farm 2 hours from the city of São Paulo and 30 min from the small town of Itapeva (MG). Organic farming, gardening, orchard, apiary, spring water, bathing in the lake, forest trails, waterfalls, vegetarian food... We believe it is possible to try new ways of living, to connect and develop. We think simplicity is beautiful and appreciate all that is homemade, local and organic. We have opened up our home to share that spirit with those who want to visit us. Here you will not be received as "clients", but as visiting friends. After all, in some way we are all connected on this journey that is life. The idea here is to disconnect and enjoy the experience of a simple, healthy and full lifestyle. We have no TV and cell phone signal fluctuates a lot and only works outdoors. However, we do have wifi. Anyway, we have balls and various games and books, as well as abundant nature all around. Don’t expect a perfect lawn and crystal clear swimming pool! We choose a more natural style, preferring to swim in the lake with the fish. And we don’t always keep nature completely “under control”, preferring to coexist in harmony with it. Bed linen and towels are provided. The chalet is large with a double bed and a sofa bed, a private bathroom and a small kitchen with a fridge, two-burner stove, microwave and electric kettle for small meals. Despite being above our house, the entrance is separate and it is possible to maintain privacy. The buildings are all somewhat independent, although linked together, with greater focus on the external space. It's hard to explain, because it follows an unconventional layout, but please come and see for yourselves and experience life in “Our Peace”! Garden, orchard, apiary, lake, spring, viewpoints, forest, trails, waterfalls (in the surrounding area), horse riding (in the surrounding area - please confirm first), fishing (in the surrounding area - please confirm first). We also offer guided activities such as nature trails, massage, yoga practice, cooking workshops and vegetarian meals with products from our agroforestry garden. Here is our home and you will be welcomed as our visiting friend. We enjoy meeting different people, sharing experiences, sharing our lives. That's why we offer guided trails, cooking workshops, yoga practice and other activities together. But we also carry on with our activities as usual, while visitors can stroll or simply relax. We are well away from everything here. The idea here is to "disconnect" and get in touch with nature! There are other people living on the farm, but in separate and isolated houses. Some neighbours offer horse riding and there are also fishing lakes and waterfalls, but a car is necessary to reach some of them. You can catch a bus to the town of Itapeva-MG and then take a taxi. Alternatively, by car, access is along 30 minutes of unpaved road. Normally the road is absolutely fine, but when there is a problem (especially in the summer after continuous rain) we will be available to help with our 4x4 if needed. As we are far from everything (30 minutes on dirt road from the nearest town), we suggest you bring everything you need, including food. But we also offer meals for those who want. We serve vegetarian food with local or neighborhood organic produce, following our principles of self-sustainability, well-being and environmental awareness. Some of our specialties have become famous: healthy breakfast, pizza carvery, curry and other specials. We just don't serve alcohol or soda.
