Lake Midway Cottage

The new cottage is located right the Lake Midway on Digby Neck. Due to this situation at Lake Midway (45ft to the lake) you have a great view on to the lake. This lake is one of the few spring water lakes in Nova Scotia and guarantees super clear water and trouble free swimming. Enjoy a wonderful stay in this relaxing scenery to nourish your soul, let you drift into peaceful, dreamy tranquility and let your troubles and worries gently float away. Explore on short walks the St. Mary's Bay or the Bay of Fundy. You can reach them both in 20 minutes by feet. Watch for the bald eagles while sitting on your deck or greet the beaver when he swim back to his home on sunset. Take a whale watch tour which starts from Digby, Tiverton, East Ferry or Brier Island. On the other side of the lake, our housekeeper can be reached easily and will help you in any case. There is a small Picnic Park with a small sandy beach on the other side as well. There is a gas station about a mile from the cottage which offers also some basic food items. In 5 minutes by car, you'll reach Sandy Cove with its beautiful beach on the Bay of Fundy. In 20 minutes you will be in Digby with two bigger shopping centers (Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Atlantic Super Store and Sobeys). The downtown area is known for its nice walkways, restaurants, and pubs. You need a car to reach the cottage. There is no bus service available but taxies can be booked.
