Chalet Laranja

Independent 52 m2 chalet, 70 mt from the Argila beach in Gamboa and 1,5 Km from the center of Morro de São Paulo. It can accomodate up to 5 people. The chalet is fully independent and organized in two floors : living room with a double sofa bed, TV, furnished kitchen and bathroom in the ground floor. Double bed and single bed in the first floor. Air conditioned and WI-FI are available. The chalet has got a private varanda made of wood with hammock and view on a 2.300 m2 tropical garden. Gamboa is a fishing village, around 2 km far from the centre of the well-known Morro de São Paulo. This part of the island is rather less ‘unexplored’ if compared to the well-known Morro de São Paulo so it can suits better travellers looking for a restful stay than to those looking for nightlife. The beautiful Gamboa’s Argila Beach is only 3 minutes far from the chalet and it offers a variety of options in terms of bar and restaurants The chalet is completely indipendent within a tropical garden together with 4 other chalets. Every guest has free access to the garden and to the barbecue. I’ll be available for any doubt. I live just next to the area and guests will be provided with my telephone number so as I can reply to any urgent matter. The area is really quiet. There’s a market just 200 mt avay and the closest restaurant is just next to the area. There are several options in terms of restaurants either on the beach or in the village centre (700 mt). Since cars are fortunately forbidden on the island, you will have either to walk, or to catch public boats availables in the Pier (700 mt far / R$ 5 pp) or private ones leaving from Morro de São Paulo Pier or from the beach in front of our place (70 mt far / R$ 30 minimum rate, service available only during the day). The last public boat from Morro de São Paulo to Gamboa leaves at 23.30 (winter) and at 00.30 (summer). The center of Morro is reachable even walking on the beach on low tide (twice a day, variable time, 1.5 km walking). The Atracadouro is the nearest mainland to the island and it is only 8 km far from Valença Airport. Several public boats leave from Atracadouro to Gamboa (several a day / 15 minutes / R$ 10 pp). Here a car parking is even available (R$ 10 / day).
