Pavones is located on the Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, about 60 Km south of Golfito. By Bus From San José you can take the 7 AM bus to Golfito from the Tracopa Terminal, the bus arrives at golfito around 2:30 PM. From Golfito take the bus to Pavones at 3 PM, departing in front of the hospital of Golfito. From Panama take the bus to the border, Paso Canoas, get on the bus to Laurel, which leaves at 4 PM Panama time (Costa Rica is one hour behind from Laurel take the bus to Conte. There you get on the bus to Pavones which leaves around 4:30 PM. If you missed the bus in Paso Canoas, take a taxi to Conte. By Taxi You can take a taxi from Golfito or Paso Canoas to Pavones. costs around $70. By Plane There are daily flights from San José to Golfito for about US $100 (one-way). Book with sansa or nature air. flight takes about an hour from San Jose. Once in Golfito you can take the 3 PM bus to Pavones or a taxi. getting around: you can rent a bike or get a taxi we can help you find the ride you need. 10% discount at Cafe de la Suerte for guest that stay in our rooms.
