Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, a large yard and hammock hut. If you desire we can arrange for a walking jungle tour guided by Ramon who has a thorough knowledge of the area. Horse back rides and surf board rentals (discount for guests) are also available as is wifi connection. We, the hosts reside within the compound. We have a thorough knowledge of the area. Our goal is to make your visit pleasant and enriching. We speak fluent Spanish, English and Portuguese and get along in French. We can provide advice on surfing spots, make arrangements for boat tours, horse back rides and guided jungle tours. Casa Banana is located between the quaint sandy street known as La Fosforera and the beach front. This is the best area in Mompiche. There are several buses leaving Mompiche daily to Esmeraldas. From there you can catch a bus to anywhere in Ecuador. There are also flights from Cali, Colombia or Quito to the city of Esmeraldas 1.5 hours from Mompiche. Casa Banana, the complex of which this room makes part, is committed to nature conservation. To this effect we have invested in the voluntary creation of a 21 hectare reserve that is home to howler monkeys, toucans and countless species of birds and plants. The Choco, the biogeographic region, is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet.
