Our beautiful little two story home is so cozy and quaint. Located just steps from the beautiful bay of Fundy boasting the highest tides in the world. The home is smoke free with a spacious open concept with all the amenities of home. The space is open concept, clean and airy, a great place for a family vacation, business travellers, or parents just needing a getaway from the kids. The community is very quaint, very friendly locals where fishing is the business of the day whether it be for work or pleasure. As our guests you will have complete access to the entire home, you don't have to worry about your privacy being invaded by other guests or the owners, you have a private back yard with a deck that you can sit and enjoy the view or cook supper on the BBQ that is provided, relax and unwind as you enjoy the tranquility of this quaint little fishing village. Although I will not invade your privacy during your stay, I am available to assist you with suggesting local activities, restaurants, and day trips. I live just a few minutes from the property, you can actually see my house when you look across the bay. I am available to assist you in any way that will make your stay more enjoyable. Because we are steps away from the ocean, you can walk around the neighborhood, enjoy the friendly locals, have a bomb fire on the beach, bike to the lighthouse at Greens Point, attend the Blueberry Festival and outdoor concerts during the season. Check out the video of the Bay of Fundy on Vimeo and search for The Bay of Fundy Starts Here, great overview of our area! We are approximately 30 minutes from St. Andrews, N.B. which has just been voted "Best Destination in Canada" From Local Newspaper: Saint Andrews, N.B., is being recognized by a major American news outlet as the best place in Canada to visit. "We were, if not the smallest, one of the smallest communities that was chosen for the top 10," said Mayor Doug Naish on Shift NB. "So, we were already dealing with that disadvantage, but it turned out not to be a disadvantage." Saint Andrews saw record year in tourism, mayor says Travel writers for the USA Today Best Destination in Canada contest picked the top-10 places and then the public voted for their favourite, explained Naish. "Quebec City was probably our main competitor all through the contest," he said. Quebec's capital city finished in seoond place. Other communities that finished in the top 10 were Lunenburg, N.S., Saskatoon and Montreal. Naish credited the community for voting in the contest, but also encouraging others to vote for Saint Andrews. Residents recently learned of the contest victory during a plaque ceremony for the greatest street in the community. Given that USA Today has a large readership, Naish said that being named the best place to visit should have a positive impact on the community and the region. "There will be many people, particularly Americans, who may have never heard of Saint Andrews or Charlotte County," he said. "And now, they will hear about it because it's closer to home in terms of a publication they're familiar with." A car is recommended in this area, because we are a rural area we do not have public transportation available. There are so many things that you can see and do in this area. Greene's Point Lighthouse and Museum is just a short bike ride away and definitely a must see, you can take the short ferry ride over to Deer Island and tour this beautiful island, where you are likely to see many deer, you can buy fresh seafood from R&M Fish Shack or buy smoked salmon from the local smoker Wolf Head Smokers, in St. George, you can see the beautiful falls/gorge, go to Canal Beach if you prefer fresh water, travel to Ministers Island, go whale watching, golfing, visit Hopewell Rocks, travel to Grand Manan Island, visit Saint John and so much more. We are literally located in the middle of everything!
