Private Palace with gorgeous view on the Gulf of Nicoya, the surrounding mangroves, and mountains - ideal place to relax! The famous "Perla del Pacifico" is open again! Took us longer than anticipated to restore this historical mansion, built in the early twentieth century and declared a "national heritage" in 2002. You may choose to sleep in the "red room" with two single beds or the "blue room" with a queen size bed. The rate applies per guest per night and includes a marvellous breakfast. You are going to have full access to a great kitchen, dining room, library, jacuzzi, patio and garden with grill-pavilion. Puntarenas is Costa Rica`s oldest port and fishing town as well as big-family-weekend-beach-hang-out (with tents, pots, pans & coolers) - fine opportunity for anyone curious about what makes the "Ticos" tick. If you travel by bus, your stop/start point is at the bus station "Terminal" (600 yards from our place). From there go buses to San Jose, the Airport, Monteverde, Liberia, Nicaragua, and the entire coastal road until Panama. The ferry to Paquera & Naranjo docks nearby. If you travel by car - we can help you explore some rare scenic routes. There is a boat docked in the back, ready to take you to uninhabited islands, mangroves & virgin beaches - the public beaches of Puntarenas are 400 yards from our front door. Boat has to be booked in advance in order to accommodate the tides.
