Come and visit a great colonial town with many open air things to do and a lot different kind of food to taste. We´ll offer you a lovely stay in our country house with the best breakfast served, and just one mile from the main plaza. Our house has a colonial architecture typical of the town, with high ceilings and a lot of sun light. It is surrounded by gardens, trees and with green areas. The sounds of birds and the nice wind makes the stay in Bella Villa a pleasant experience. It is located in the suburbs of Villa de Leyva and at walking distance to the main plaza. You can enjoy a warm night next to the french fireplace in the living room or in the comfortable dinning room. Outside the house we have garden tables and a kiosk with an outdoor brick oven. The house has 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms and doors to the balcony. The rooms can have queen size beds, cradle, and a additional bed. We provide WiFi and an excellent breakfast. The private bathrooms have hot water and we provide clean towels, shampoo, conditioner and bath gel to use during your stay. We have two beautiful cats and two friendly dogs that stay only outside the house. Bella Villa is located a mile from the main plaza; 15 minutes walk. There is taxi service available by call that cost around $1.5 US dollars. The town of Villa de Leyva is one of the most beautiful towns in Colombia, it is a national monument recognized as the perfect place to rest. The average temperature is about 18º C (64º F) all year around, with a minimal variation between night and day. The town celebrates diverse cultural events for the arts, history and science. Events and fairs such as The Astronomy Festival, Fairs and Festivals of the Virgin of Carmen, International Festival of Kites, Food Festival and Festival of Lights in December. Visitors from all over the world come every year to enjoy of a great variety of national and international cuisine, outdoor activities such as hiking, ecologic walks, mountain climbing, horseback riding, bike trips, motorcycles and buggies. Villa de leyva is located 93 miles (150 km) north from Bogotá and it is about two hours on a 2 lane (each way) highway. In the trip you can see beautiful landscapes of the Andes mountains.
