Nestled in peaceful Upstate N.Y., between Finger Lakes Wine Country and Lake Ontario and right in the heart of the Erie Canal is the Peppermint Cottage. The Peppermint Cottage is a unique destination. The Peppermint Cottage is a place for guests to “Step Back in Time” and experience the simple pleasures of life including a warm fire, relaxing under the stars in a hot tub, sauna or strolling our gardens. Family friendly establishment. Birders, bicyclists and outdoor enthusiasts welcome. The Peppermint Cottage has a private entrance. It is a completely furnished, two-story, two bedroom bungalow. The first floor living space has a cozy Adirondack charm with its colonial beehive fireplace as the centerpiece. The living area also features cherry paneling that dates back nearly 200 years. Our Cottage kitchen is equipped with guests in mind. Fresh farm eggs, coffee and tea are available. You are welcome to the gas grill on the kitchen deck, and outdoor table in courtyard for your breakfast or an evening meal. Beside the Cottage is a fire pit and chairs to unwind after a day in the Finger Lakes Region. A guitar is available upon request. “The acoustics are incredible… violins and guitars never sounded better,” says owner Mark De Cracker, who has written songs within the inspirational walls. The Peppermint Cottage, with its touch of the Adirondacks, is not only a great romantic getaway, it is also a very inspiring one. Upstairs, the master bedroom is carpeted and has a queen bed, skylight and TV. The adjoining bedroom has a full bed and a single. The Peppermint Cottage has a kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator for guests' use. It also has a colonial beehive fireplace with a bread oven. Outdoor kitchen deck with gas grill. "We are sitting here by the fire as the second and final evening of our stay at the Peppermint Cottage comes to a close. Our experience here was all we could have hoped for, and we will leave tomorrow morning feeling relaxed and recharged. Wayne County also has over 30 hiking trails for those interested in nature. Wayne County offers some of the most beautiful wildflowers in the area. Guests are only 15 minutes from the Finger Lakes Outlet Mall and 20 minutes from the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Country. The kitchen has a oven, refrigerator, and microwave. Also included is a colonial beehive fireplace with a bread oven. The Peppermint Cottage has an Adirondack feel to it in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Guests also have use of an outdoor hot tub and sauna. Fresh eggs, seasonal berries, and vegetables are available.
