Lakeside home: Casa Legado, Laguna de Apoyo

Casa Legado sits on the northern shore of Laguna de Apoyo one of the most carefully protected preserves in Nicaragua. No gas or diesel powered motor boats are allowed in the temperate, mineral-rich waters of the lake. You wake up in the morning watching the egrets and ducks, an occasional swimmer, kayaks or a sailboat passing as you have your coffee on the veranda. The lake environment and home provide a beautiful, peaceful place for writing, resting and enjoying a quiet respite. The spacious and elegant one bedroom, one bath home is fully furnished with bedding, towels, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, blender, rice cooker and toaster. Kitchen also has all dishes, pots and pans glassware and utensils if you want to do your own cooking. WIFI are included. A/C available with an extra utility charge per day. The master bedroom overlooks the lake, as does the deck. The home environment is beautiful and quiet with a undeveloped forest on one side so that you can watch the birds while lying in your wide, comfortable hammock enjoying a cool drink. All this, is just 25 easy driving minutes from Granada, or slightly more to Managua in the opposite direction. Granada has many great restaurants, interesting colonial architecture and famous horse driven carriage rides through the city. Taxis are easily available from the Laguna into Granada, Masaya or Managua. There is also a daily bus to Masaya from the local school, which is about 1 mile, beautiful walk from the house.
