My Island Home - The Studio

One of two independent accommodations, unique and charming, sharing a large terrace with plunge pool, in a secure garden setting. Everything you need for a great vacation is here. My Island Home - The Studio, is located on the main circle-island road, within 10 minutes by bike from the town of Fare, beaches, activities and archeological sites. The studio is a modular house. Downstairs there is a kitchen-family room, the kitchen equipped with fridge, cooktop, microwave oven and plenty of work space. The comfortable living area has two bed-size settees. The private bathroom with hot-water shower is one meter from the living room door by a covered terrasse. Upstairs, accessed by an outdoor staircase, large airy bedroom with queen-size bed and possibility of child's bed. You have access at all times to the shared terrace and plunge pool. There are tables and chairs in a shaded area for those who wish to dine outdoors. The terrace is also a nice spot for star-gazing as the day winds down. The Studio shares the terrace and yard with our other accommodation, The Gallery. The two bungalows are in close proximity but care has been taken to assure privacy for each as well as the opportunity to meet fellow voyagers. We have lived on Huahine for 23 years and are former owners of Chez Guynette, a popular b & b in Fare, principal village of Huahine. We know the island well and can help you with your vacation plans while you're here. Moe is Tahitian and will be happy to prepare Tahitian food for you if you order in advance. We are conveniently located between Fare and the village of Maeva with its beautiful archeological site and the Fare Potee where you can learn the history of the Maohi people. We supply two beach bikes for your use in the northern end of the island. The bike ride to town or beach takes around 10 minutes. The bikes are used by many people so please do check them out before using them and do not go beyond the limits marked on the map near the bikes. We can also help you arrange a rental car or scooter at the island's most reasonable price. In your kitchen, you'll find breakfast supplies and Moe will deliver French bread fresh from the bakery every morning, free of charge, so you don't have to start your day with a shopping trip to town. He is also more than happy to take you to town and return to pick you, as often as you find necessary. It's only a 3-minute drive. There are two beach bikes available for exploring the flat parts of Huahine Nui and we'll be happy to help you arrange for car rental.
